A SB ring now he has a QB and an offense? Or are you mad at him cause he didnt like Ponder? What if Ponder stinks the place up this year and is gone next year? Will you think the same thing?mondry wrote:LOL, what ever helps you sleep at night Harvin, hope you get what's comin to ya!

Re: Harvin traded
I'll ask the question again, "Did Harvin train with Ponder in the offseason?" Because he already has plans to train with Wilson this off season.PurpleKoolaid wrote: A SB ring now he has a QB and an offense? Or are you mad at him cause he didnt like Ponder? Harvin won't get 70 catches and a 1,000 yards in Seattle. IF he does it will be because Rice is hurt again. By the middle of the 2nd year of his contract I expect him to be complaining again.
Don't get me wrong, I wanted him on the team. But, if he is going to be a PITA, then he can leave. One Superstar WR will not win you the Super Bowl. It takes a team, a team on the same page. Harvin apparently was not only, not on the same page, he was in a different book.

Harvin got 6 yrs, $67M ($11.16M/yr) with $14.5M fully guaranteed, plus $11M guar for injury. Earning $36M in the first 3 years.

WOW... probably a bit high for someone who has yet to play all 16 games.dead_poet wrote:

Yet lower than what many were expecting given his alleged requests/demands. Still, it's a haul. Seattle loves tossing money at Vikings receivers.PurpleMustReign wrote: WOW... probably a bit high for someone who has yet to play all 16 games.

That just means Sidney is likely to get cut next year around this time if he doesn't start producing like Seattle hoped. Pete don't mess around.

Re: Harvin traded
not that it makes a difference and i have touched on it earlier but PH has played all 16 games in a season just the year before last. first year he played 15, played 14 in 2010, 16 in 2011, and 9 games last year.PurpleMustReign wrote: WOW... probably a bit high for someone who has yet to play all 16 games.
but yes....that is a LOT of money.
i'm ready for a beer.
Re: Harvin traded
Actually, I'm glad you posted that, because I also had the perception that Harvin hadn't played a full season either. After reading your post, I stopped being lazy and looked it up. You are correct (and Thanks)vikeinmontana wrote: not that it makes a difference and i have touched on it earlier but PH has played all 16 games in a season just the year before last. first year he played 15, played 14 in 2010, 16 in 2011, and 9 games last year.

Re: Harvin traded
oh sure. i think because of the migraine issues and missing practice time many people had this perception that he was injury prone or something. but before last season he'd only missed 3 games in three seasons which is pretty amazing considering all we asked him to do.Just Me wrote: Actually, I'm glad you posted that, because I also had the perception that Harvin hadn't played a full season either. Re: Harvin traded
Finally seeing Percy Harvin's full contract details. It's really a 5-year, $64.5M extension with $25.5M fully guaranteed. He got his wish.
And #Seahawks have some flexibility if it doesn't work out. The $25.5M gt'd all in the first 2 years. After that, it's pay as you go.
Tom Pelissero on TwitterAppears Harvin's gt'd base salary for 2014 kicks in after Super Bowl, but that's a formality. Else they gave up 3 picks, $14.5M for 1 year.

I wonder if they plan to use him as a returner as well as a receiver.
