Could someone explain what a switch is?
It's not a term we use in the U.K

I don't see this going well for A.P. or the Vikings in the short term....
Sounds like A.P. has made some interesting choices in his life.. Kids spread out over many houses
can create all kinds of problems.
He probably didn't mean to abuse the kid. I grew up getting the belt and had one incident with 12
hits. Back then society was different, but I am sure today, it would be abuse. I spanked my kids, some.
I didn't use the belt very much. I agreeded with an earlier poster that said there needs to consistency
and clear communication and more love than physical punishment. If you are in the picture rarely; I would
say I would avoid cracking down hard and come up with consistent rules for both houses, for the kid.
Tough situation for a child and parents, either way.

Has anyone heard anything about whether or not he is a legal guardian of the child? I imagine that would make a pretty massive difference in a legal sense.

Dont minimze APs crime. I got plenty of paddlings as a kid. Believe me, i deserved em. NONE of them caused "multiple lacerations" like APs abuse. He us inexcusable.

Mr. Peterson will need to do some serious work to fix this and thats if this is ALL there is. If anything else comes to light I cannot see him staying with the Vikings.

I read a comment last night (another site) that said the pics were taken EIGHT days later. I was hoping that was just a dumb rumor...Valhalla wrote:This article looks like it has the "mugshot" from what I understand that I've seen floating around on the net a bit:

A caller on KFAN seems to allude that the pictures we see have the abrasions may have even been taken a week after the incident. We'll see.

Nothing to add to the already numerous valid points made by everyone.
I just want to say that this news bums me right out on a number of levels.

Me too. AP crossed the line. I've gotten my fair share of spankings, but nothing that compares to the pictures I've seen floating around. This is inexcusable for any parent. He deserves whatever punishment he has coming his way.losperros wrote:I just want to say that this news bums me right out on a number of levels.
