All I can do is stock up on Ripple to dull the pain of what we are about to see.

Finally get to see why Zimmer keeps Mannion around
Maybe Sloter will get some playing time too.

McVay kept Mannion around for two seasons, so he must have seen something in him.Maelstrom88 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 12:57 pmHe does?StumpHunter wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 12:51 pm
I want to see Mond too but realistically Mannion gives Zimmer the best chance at winning on Sunday.
Mannion's Career NFL statistics as of Week 10, 2021

0–3
Passing yards:

Completion percentage:

Passer rating:

Rushing yards:

Bringing him back year after year should get Zimmer and Rick fired alone. Dude was drafted when the Rams were still in STL. Rams realized he wasn't back up material and let him go. Let's see, who is better at evaluating QBs?
Mannion's two starts, not three, he went up against two starting NFL defenses playing with backups, with no real game plan, in a game no one cared if he won. He might still suck playing with starters, but those two games do not mean what people make them out to be. 2019 Cousins against the Bears with starters only put up 6 points, so what do you expect out of our backup playing with backups?
Also, wasn't there talk that Mannion was brought back because Cousins liked having him on the sidelines?
That all said, I hate this move and wish Mond was starting, it is just that I would do the same thing if my job was on the line though. Odds are Mannion is the best QB available to start Sunday, which sucks.

Lets see if Mond can..do...something. He has (at least in college) shown the athleticism that he may be able to make some "wow" factor players. Mannion, not so much.

Tyler Hundley just had a surprise start vs the Packer's defense and had 215 yards 2 TDs 0 INTs and probably would've won the game had they taken the game to OT.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 12:51 pmI want to see Mond too but realistically Mannion gives Zimmer the best chance at winning on Sunday.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 12:04 pm What an absolute joke. Another offensive blunder by the guy that doesn’t have a clue what he has for talent on the offensive side of the ball because he pays zero attention to the offense.
I’ve been saying it all along he flat out refuses to play rookies on offense unless it’s an absolute necessity. Took weeks to start O’Neill, took forever to start Cleveland, took 3 games to get Jefferson in a full game. Refuses to play Wyatt Davis over Udoh or Dozier. Plays Sean mannion over mond. ZIMMER F###ING BLOWS. Until ownership realizes this, we will forever be stuck in the mud with mediocre Mike
GB just spent the week preparing for Kirk - Mond is a completely different player and would catch the defense off guard with at least his legs if only for the first half.
Mond might actually give us the best chance even if he only throws like 10 times.
Re: Cousins out Sunday night against GB
Mond may have the chance to win the game. Mannion is less likely to lose the game.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 1:24 pmMcVay kept Mannion around for two seasons, so he must have seen something in him.Maelstrom88 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 12:57 pm

Re: Cousins out Sunday night against GB
Pretty sure the Rams only kept him around because he was on a rookie deal and Snead drafted him so he wanted to let it play out. McVay probably knew he was trash after one practice session lol. Zimmer still doesn't know. Probably too busy watching his failed cornerbacks.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 1:24 pmMcVay kept Mannion around for two seasons, so he must have seen something in him.Maelstrom88 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 12:57 pm

Imagine if the Rams thought this way when Trent Green went down. Warner has a chance to win the game but let's bring back Tony Banks because he has less of a chance to lose it. If you suck and everyone knows it I would say you have a very good chance to lose your team the game. Mond is a vet now. He's been in the league a year. At least with Mond backside defenders have to worry about bootlegs.makila wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 1:34 pmMond may have the chance to win the game. Dude, literally nobody knows anything about how Mond is progressing. Not even guys in the media, who occasionally have access to practice. Nobody has seen him or talked to him. There’s not a single article from a credible source that I can find about him. Yet here you are giving us a scouting report on how Mond uses his eyes!CharVike wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 12:54 pmDid you forget Bradbury was the stater the minute he signed his contract. Not exactly a dominating player. Shouldn't be starting and Zim is putting other players health at risk with him out there. Mannion is a horrible QB. They had no choice. I know you wanted Mac Jones, but man, you gotta over it. Jones is a Patriot. Mond is a Viking. Allegedly.
