Welp. This one was fun. Part homer, part needs, part just for fun.
22: Javon Kinlaw DT
25: Yetur Gross-Matos Edge
58: Matt Hennessy IOL
89: Ben Bartch OT
105: Thaddeus Moss TE
132: Tyler Johnson WR
155: Harrison Hand CB
201: Mohamed Barry LB
205: Jauan Jennings WR
219: Binjimen Victor WR
249: Jordan Fuller S
253: Charlie Heck OT
That is a terrible draft except for Javon Kinlaw and Thaddeus Moss, Kinlaw is a stud! Why draft only 1 cornerback?
I know CB is an area of need, but rookie CBs take a while to develop. FA corners aren't getting much right now-I'd rather go that way with a couple vets (Apple, Dennard, Kirkpatrick, etc.)

Players are good, but the order of selection isn't. Going DT and DE in the first round IMO simply wrong. The only CB selected is no better than we already have. TE in the third? No don't do that. Tyler Johnson was a good selection but not for our first WR.
I'm incredibly bias because Randy was my favorite player of all time...of any sport. Having his son would just be fun. I've also heard he is a very good run blocker. So my thought process is to get him ready to replace Rudy, and draft 3 WR prospects in the second half of the draft and hit on one. I like the idea of Irv and Moss. Build on OL and DL early.

Apple, Dennard, and Kirkpatrick are all garbage, I would rather draft a rookie cornerback than get any of those guys

Forgot what it's called...But you can find the link at the college football/draft thread. Pretty fun.
Fanspeak is one, The draft Network is another. Maybe Pro Football Network, but not sure about that.

Interesting. I bet the more you follow their board the better grade you get. I'm off to try it right now.

Took me a minute to figure it out. Thanks for the recommendation Stump it does have some cool features.
Since I got to see how they ranked everybody I thought it would be fun to try to draft well for the Vikings while manipulating the system for a good score. I made two trade backs so 14 total picks with 10 of them being graded A+ three more A and one B+ for going with my personal favorite Chase Claypool.

Round 1 Pick 25: A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson (A-)
Round 2 Pick 1 (CINN): Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon (A+)
Round 2 Pick 26: Cesar Ruiz, C/OG, Michigan (A)
Round 2 Pick 27 (SEA): Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU (A+)
Round 3 Pick 1 (CINN): Chase Claypool, WR/TE, Notre Dame (B+)
Round 3 Pick 25: Lucas Niang, OT, TCU (A+)
Round 3 Pick 41 (COMP): Ben Bartch, OT/OG, St. John's (MN) (A+)
Round 4 Pick 26: Geno Stone, FS/SS, Iowa (A+)
Round 5 Pick 21: Darnay Holmes, CB, UCLA (A+)
Round 6 Pick 26: Benito Jones, DT, Ole Miss (A+)
Round 6 Pick 28: Antonio Gibson, WR, Memphis (A+)
Round 7 Pick 5: Chauncey Rivers, DE, Miss. State (A)
Round 7 Pick 35 (COMP): Michael Warren II, RB, Cincinnati (A+)
Round 7 Pick 39 (COMP): Ahmad Wagner, TE, Kentucky (A+)

I don't believe getting Herbert at 33 is realistic at all or Ruiz at 58 or Reagor at 59. I don't think any of it was very realistic, but it was a fun experience.

What was your point total?

Some of the drafts are more realistic than others, but even in the real world I don't think anyone would have said Rodgers at 24 was realistic or Moss at 21 before the draft. Weird things happen and guys fall.

It's certainly true that weird things happen and guys fall. This just had me getting IMO ridiculous values for way too many picks. My first scored 40,000 something second 41,000 something. Got Becton at 22 in this one.

Round 1 Pick 22: Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville (A+)
Round 1 Pick 28 (BALT): A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson (A)
Round 2 Pick 26: Cesar Ruiz, C/OG, Michigan (A)

Round 3 Pick 25: Chase Claypool, WR/TE, Notre Dame (A+)
Round 3 Pick 41 (COMP): Justin Madubuike, DT, Texas A&M (A+)
Round 4 Pick 26: Hakeem Adeniji, OT/OG, Kansas (A+)
Round 5 Pick 23 (N.O.): A.J. Green, CB, Oklahoma St. (A+)
Round 6 Pick 24 (N.O.): James Morgan, QB, FIU (A+)
Round 6 Pick 26: Trevis Gipson, DE, Tulsa (A+)
Round 6 Pick 28: Antonio Gibson, WR, Memphis (A+)
Round 7 Pick 5: J.J. Taylor, RB, Arizona (A+)
Round 7 Pick 35 (COMP): Justin Strnad, OLB, Wake Forest (A+)
Round 7 Pick 39 (COMP): Tanner Muse, FS/SS, Clemson (A-)

You get a point total and grade on your drafts.
Thanks for that link. I registered and took a crack at it and this was my result:

Your score is: 39050 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 22: Yetur Gross-Matos, DE/OLB, Penn St. (A)
Round 1 Pick 25: Neville Gallimore, DT, Oklahoma (A)
Round 2 Pick 26: Antoine Winfield Jr., FS/SS, Minnesota (A)
Round 3 Pick 25: Solomon Kindley, OG, Georgia (A+)
Round 3 Pick 41 (COMP): Ben Bartch, OT/OG, St. John's (MN) (A+)
Round 4 Pick 26: Lynn Bowden Jr., WR, Kentucky (A+)
Round 5 Pick 21: Josiah Scott, CB, Michigan St. (A+)
Round 6 Pick 26: McTelvin Agim, DT, Arkansas (A+)
Round 6 Pick 28: John Reid, CB, Penn St. (A+)
Round 7 Pick 5: James Morgan, QB, FIU (A+)
Round 7 Pick 35 (COMP): Scott Frantz, OT, Kansas St. (A+)
Round 7 Pick 39 (COMP): Binjimen Victor, WR, Ohio St. (A+)

I simulated the entire mock except for my picks and I ended up ranking 3rd out of all 32 teams:

How You Matched Up:
1. Miami Dolphins - 41180
2. Cincinnati Bengals - 39155
3. Minnesota Vikings - 39050
4. Jacksonville Jaguars - 38728
5. Los Angeles Chargers - 38686

However, my total score on this site was nowhere near the top drafts for the Vikings on this site:

1. A.D. Whitfield 46403 3/18/2020
2. SpringerDinger 46204 3/19/2020
3. Justino78 45803 4/4/2020
4. SGA 45628 3/18/2020
5. Rowdylab 45565 3/29/2020

Wish I could see what those mocks looked like.

Next time I might try making some trades. My guess is the higher scores probably traded down early and picked up extra early round picks that they used to shore up the team more.

You are correct. I tried another draft with trading down more and got my best score yet. 16 picks 15 A+. That game is designed to stroke peoples egos by giving them ridiculously high scores.
Your score is: 42414 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 22: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma (A+)
Round 1 Pick 30 (G.B.): Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon (A+)
Round 2 Pick 26: Laviska Shenault Jr., WR, Colorado (A+)
Round 2 Pick 30 (G.B.): Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia (A+)
Round 2 Pick 32 (SEA): Justin Madubuike, DT, Texas A&M (A)
Round 3 Pick 25: Jeremy Chinn, FS/SS, S. Illinois (A+)
Round 3 Pick 41 (COMP): Amik Robertson, CB, Louisiana Tech (A+)
Round 4 Pick 33 (T.B.): Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR, Liberty (A+)
Round 5 Pick 21: Jake Hanson, C/OG, Oregon (A+)
Round 6 Pick 13 (G.B.): A.J. Green, CB, Oklahoma St. (A+)
Round 6 Pick 15 (T.B.): Antonio Gibson, WR, Memphis (A+)
Round 6 Pick 26: Trevon Hill, DE/OLB, Miami (Fla.) (A+)
Round 6 Pick 28: Benito Jones, DT, Ole Miss (A+)
Round 7 Pick 5: Darrynton Evans, RB, App. St. (A+)
Round 7 Pick 35 (COMP): Jon Runyan, OG, Michigan (A+)
Round 7 Pick 39 (COMP): Michael Warren II, RB, Cincinnati (A+)

The guy with the winning score probably made 30 or more picks.
Actually I tried trading back again and again and got 21 picks, but my score went down. Got some As instead of A+s.

CBS sports has a brand new mock and they are actually kind of entertaining to listen to.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2Q4OUi0ECE
They ended up having the Vikings take Gladney at 22 and Reagor at 25. Both from TCU and I would not be shocked if both those picks ended up correct.
