Allowing 80% of your targets will get you cut.
And constantly coming up " hurt" and then being miraculously healed a min later 78% of the time and pointing the finger and throwing a hissy fit the other 2% of that 80% burned rate doesnt help either
I am not going to miss that about Rhodes.
The catch rate stat is pretty meaningless without total targets numbers, yardage numbers and TD #s. If a player gives up 1 catch a game for 7 yards and is only targeted once a game, his catch rate against would be 100%, but he would have only given up 112 yards and 0 TDs on the season.
Rhodes did not give up 112 yards and 0 TDs though. He gave up nearly 900 yards and 4 TDs, a 300 yard and 1 TD increase over his 2018 season. Not good.

Really sad to see we cut Morgan. I was hoping he might bounce back from injury this year.
Joseph and Rhodes both had down years last year. I could see Rhodes bouncing back in a system that allows a little more freedom if he can regain some confidence. Be curious to see if Joseph's down year was more age or injury related, and if he can stay healthy going forward.
I agree about Morgan. Really liked the guy. Excellent blocking TE and though he wasn't targeted alot, he had a knack for coming up with a big catch when needed.
Yes. He was a good route runner too. Sadly we are hooked to Rudolph given the way they restructured his contract, and Conklin is pretty much a dud. Hopefully they'll at least draft a TE. Its hard to see cutting Rudolph until 2022. I really cannot see how they brought themselves to re-sign him on this ridiculous deal. A big misstep for Spielman.

Irv might pan out. He's got some promise as an athletic, YAC type TE running crossing routes. I mostly just hate the Rudolph contract and being hooked to an underachieving clod of a receiving TE for 3 more years.
