Then the question becomes... would we rather play @ GB or @ PHI? Even though the records are way different, I may rather play @ GB especially if Philly gets healthy.
It is funny how people heard the announcers talk about Philly's championship pedigree at the end of the game yesterday, and now are afraid of them.
They are an NFL team and odd things can happen in the playoffs, but if we play Philly in the first round we win that game 9 times out of 10. They will be the by far the worst team in the playoffs this year, assuming they make it, and we want to play the worst team.
I didn't watch the game yesterday so I'm not sure what you're talking about. I just know that GB is overrated and PHI is underrated if they get healthy.
And playing in Philly is always disgusting for away fans.

I have heard nothing but bad things about their fans, and there is not a less deserving fan base to be gifted a SB by the Vikings than them.

My answer is "neither".
Hopefully the Vikings find a way to win the North and get a home playoff game. That starts by beating the Packers tonight and then they'll need a little cooperation from the Lions, but having a home game is a big deal as the Vikings haven't exactly been world beaters this season on the road against teams with winning records.

Vikings control their own destiny for the 5th seed. Win twice and it’s a done deal. Doesn’t matter about Seattle or SF as Vikings would have a better record than Sea or the tie breaker over SF.

Philly for a couple reasons. It should be the easier game even if it’s a tough venue, neither stadium will be easy to win in but it would be nice to get revenge for the NFCC. Also there’s a pretty good chance the #6 seed could make it to the NFC championship given SF/SEA are two of the better teams in the NFC. That would mean the NFCC at home for the Vikings.
But the team needs to take care of business tonight first.

Seattle has to lose.
If they win and we win out, we're both 12-4. We lost to them head-to-head.

I think it goes conference record before head-to-head and that's where our loss to KC helps us. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think if we win out, we get #5 regardless of what the Seahawks do now.

I think he might be right kapp.
“Otherwise, Minnesota will go into the playoffs as a wild-card team. The Vikings could be the No. 5 seed, though, if they win their final two games and finish 12-4.”
Also:
“Based upon ESPN's playoff machine:
After Arizona's victory over the Seahawks, if the #Vikings win their final two games, they would receive no worse than a No. 5 seed. Also, Green Bay is playing for a No. 1 seed (win final two + SEA win over SF). “

Vikings wins the tie breaker over SF based on games vs common opponents. If Seattle wins vs SF, they win their division so that tie breaker that doesn't come into play. If Seattle loses next week, the Vikings win because they will be 12-4 and Seattle will be 11-5.
So, if we win out its no worse than 5th seed. Could be 2nd or 3rd I'd we get some help.

Thanks for clearing it up, guys.

It's all very complicated, but it all hinges on beating the Packers tonight. I'll focus on that for now.

So, Seattle or NO's, who do we prefer?
SF wins and we play the Saints, Seattle wins and we play them.
I know Seattle probably wants a home game in the playoffs, but I might want to lose and play at Philly and not play us.
