We continue to overvalue our players. Reiff is an average LT. Trent a top 5 LT. It's night and day.

Re: Trent Williams to be traded
Trust me when I say the medical issue is a huge part of it. Not all, but it plays into it. I talked to his friend/ former teammates brother today. Said his brother said there are teams talking with Williams agent, but wouldn't say. He also told his brother said Williams relationship with the Skins is pretty much destroyedStumpHunter wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 7:43 amSeems unlikely concerns with the medical staff would be the only reason he would request to be moved. Um ... a bad assumption on my part?
Sorry. I just saw his name on the holdout list and assumed. There's a saying about that word.
If the medical staff in DC is that bad I can understand why.
What that means for the Vikes is that they could afford him if they gave him an extension and Reiff was included in the deal. LT is the least of my concerns on the line though, and at least Reiff has been relatively injury free for two seasons.
. He said he knows the whole story of course but that he would keep that between them. Said he will be totally shocked if he stays with Skins. He wants out BAD. Money is not the issue. He did say his brother laughed and said now if they throw a ridiculous amount his way he may bite the bullet and just say screw it. But he said Williams has done very well financially, so truthfully the money isnt the biggest motivating factor. All he would say is the medical staff AND team officials ha e turned him from an extremely loyal player who now wants out on the worst way.
You can believe it or not, but everything I've ever had him tell me played out just as he said or was the honest truth. He said if it looks like Trent will sign with the Vikings he will let me know, but didnt seem like it was in the makings.

It’s sad how bad the redskins front office is. I would have to say it’s the worst in the nfl by far. Miami and the Jets are up there but Washington blows everyone out of the water. Thanks for the insight though brother!Bowhunting Viking wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 2:43 pmTrust me when I say the medical issue is a huge part of it. Not all, but it plays into it. Yest evening my buddy and I trimmed up the last few treestands that needed done for upcoming bow season. On my way home I was sitting on road glasses 3 bucks on the edge of 1 of the woods we hunt and a truck pulled up and it was Kory and his son. We talked about the upcoming season.. and he pimped me up cuz he has ALOT of faith that the Vikes have the potential to really be really good on offense this season. He said the zone scheme we will be running will fit our lineman perfectly and is gonna help Cousins play to his strengths. He also made me feel alot better about Kline. He said hes alot better player than he showed last season. It was funny, its the second time he told me that Linvel is one of the top 3 hardest guys he ever had to block. Said the guy is massively strong and is practically unmovable without 1 on 1.
We talked about Trent Williams. He knew a few teams who are talking to him and said many more will be calling. Wouldn't say who they were. But he said that the last few seasons he was there the medical staff and especially the front office really went downhill. Said Kerrigan, who I met while he was here for Korys annual summer camp a few yrs ago, and other teammates said it's even worse.
He said I guarentee u his issues aren't money. Said Trent is fine financially, he just wants out of that place and won't be forced to play. Said he told him he never wants to play another snap as a Skin.

It might be the first holdout in the history of the NFL that wasn't about the contract, but my guess is that Williams does not play again without a new contract.Bowhunting Viking wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 4:56 amKinda funny you posted this exact post late last night due to the conversation I had with Kory.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 10:16 pm

I don't blame him. The one he is on now is pretty bad for a top 5 LT. It is a very unfair contract, and he has every right to be upset with management about it, and all the other stuff they have pulled.

Re: Trent Williams to be traded
In the six years I watched Kirk play for the Skins, numerous times he would sing the praises of his offensive line, but in particular Trent Williams as the best LT in the NFL. Kirk was well liked by the O line and one of the reasons Trent and Moses played hurt in
many games. The front office is toxic.
Snyder and Allen don’t have the respect of the players or the fans.
The “fire Allen” and “Snyder, sell the team” threads are always filled with unprintable vitriol. Allen always operates on the cheap. It’s sport for him. When RG 3 was hurt and Kirk made his first start in Cleveland, had a monster game and beat the Browns handily, the story goes that Snyder walked right by Kirk in the locker room, never looked at him and went straight to RG 3 to see how he was feeling and make sure he wasn’t sulking about not playing. Many of the players saw this. The vast majority of players on that team want out if given the chance. Loyalty is scarce. I don’t think we get him because of cap issues, but he
is a great player who does it all. I wish him the best and hope he gets his wish. He is a winner as a player and a good person. (Excuse the editing job, don’t post often)

Re: Trent Williams to be traded
And I've been told about ALOT of more things about Snyder and his man crush on RG3. Trust me.. this coming straight from the mouth of the center.. that O line couldn't stand RG3. They loved Cousins and played their hearts out for him. Not RG3. His brother said My brother wouldn't stop to help him if he was laying along the road the way he treated us as teammates and his sense of entitlement.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:05 amIt might be the first holdout in the history of the NFL that wasn't about the contract, but my guess is that Williams does not play again without a new contract.Bowhunting Viking wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 4:56 am

Snyder flew RG3 and his then girlfriend anywhere they wanted on his private jet. The list goes on and on. And the story u talked about him walking by Cousins and ignoring him and fawning over RG3 is completely true. There where alot of other things that happened. He said it was obvious no matter how great Kirk played he wasnt Snyder or Grudens guy, but his teammates were behind him 110%.
He said that the organization has become a total fiasco. Early in his career there he said it was really a great place to play, but bvb the whole RG3 deal, and some other things started tearing it apart.

He would be an amazing addition if he is healthy obviously. I'd give up a first and more for him. I don't see it happening though due to cap restrictions.

Re: Trent Williams to be traded
Williams ex teammate's brother has been telling me his brother has been taking and texting with Williams. He has been telling me all along that Williams insists he isn't going back to the Skins. He told me the other day the Skins were playing the usual games to try and force him to report.
Judging from the stories coming out he is serious.
Sounds like he is still standing his ground and wants out. Man I wish I could afford to take a 40k fine a day to not show up and not have it affect me.

Re: Trent Williams to be traded
It is that bad. Case in point Brian Orakpo was perpetually hurt and missing games his entire time in Wash. I mean literally he never played a full season with The Redskins then when he left for Tenn he never missed a bloody game. The entire team has had massive injury issues for years especially at offensive line. Its a miracle Big Cuz never missed a game playing for them?StumpHunter wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 7:43 amSeems unlikely concerns with the medical staff would be the only reason he would request to be moved. He has no intention of playing for the Skins ever again. I saw a few of his texts concerning the situation, and believe me the fines aren't bothering him at all, and there is no love for the front office, for sure.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 9:46 am All's quiet on the Williams front. Watching #74 play for the Skins in their second preseason game, the team that needs Williams the most is the Skins. 74 got beat or was in the process of getingt beat on every passing down.Bowhunting Viking wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 4:53 pmHe has no intention of playing for the Skins ever again. Re: Trent Williams to be traded
Well unless he gets a case of total amnesia of what he been saying or they sneak in and give him a lobotomy, the Skins better get used to that on the left side or sign someone who gets cut from another team, cuz it sure seems like he is adamant about not going back. His buddy said He has made up his mind, and he will be completely blinsided.. yes PUN was intended.. by it if he did play for Skins another snap.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 11:57 amWatching #74 play for the Skins in their second preseason game, the team that needs Williams the most is the Skins. 74 got beat or was in the process of getingt beat on every passing down.Bowhunting Viking wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 4:53 pm
