well, if Sendejo is worth a 4 year / $16million contract, then the Vikes are getting an absolute bargain with Smith :v):
LOL, aint that the truth. I'm still scratching my head over giving the worst safety Ive ever seen play, that kind of money. Mind boggling.

You have a pretty large mega RB contract though.

all are over paid IMO...

Granted Peterson should be paid
well, but more than double what any
other RB makes? 11 million more ?

Given our team now.. I would trade Peterson
away for a second any maybe fifth..signed an
effective back (chris Ivory) and top OL the
baltimore guy 65 million(drop kalil also).
Don't resign super spastic Sendajo. Have
Rudolf redo deal. That gives us all pro LT
and LG Boone ...Ivory and McKinnon at RB.
This post just completely baffles me. First of all, there is a good chance nobody was going to throw away a 2nd and 5th for AP. Chris Ivory is an effective back? Based off what? 1 year of barely squeezing over 1,000 yards? And to add on that the guy is only 2 years younger than AP.

....and then let me get this straight.....

You thought we should have signed Osemele and Boone?? So we would put roughly $91 million into two offensive lineman??

I agree we should have either dumped Sendejo or resigned him for cheaper.

Also, Osemele is an all pro GUARD. He hasnt played LT in a few years so to just hope he would be just as good there is way too risky if you ask me.

This entire scenario just doesnt make much sense to me.

Boone can also play LT if needed between him and Osemele I am sure one of them would be far more effective than
Kalil. Half the time he lets people blow around him and inside of him.

The thing you have to consider is A.P. Kalil and Sendajo money would be gone against the cap.. I wouldn't have signed

Kalil or Sendajo this season that is 15 million .. I think Peterson was like 18-19 million ....??

You also have to consider Boone and Osemele 91 million would be over 4-5 seasons... Peterson only had 1400 or so last season

if you split time between McKinnon and Ivory they should come up with that ...McKinnon at times was more effective than Peterson
last year. Giants game for one Peterson wants the ball every play and a lot of the time gets no yards or fumbles ...

You still have me lost here. Why would we want to play Boone or Osemele out of the position they were all pro in for big money to only "hope" they work out at LT.

Second, Peterson "only" had 1400 yards last season?? He LED the league in rushing and had 11 TDs!!! He's the best RB in the game.

And third, the Giants game?? AP ran for 104 and a TD. Outside of McKinnon's long run in garbage time, he had 6 carries for 21 yards. So just because he had 1 long run he was more effective than AP??

I'm sorry but I'm not paying a guy $65 million to play out of position. Not a chance in hell. I'm also not going to rely on a 28 year old "one year wonder" RB. I have no problem keeping Kalil another year to see if he can get back to form and if not, we look in the draft. We would look like idiots and guys on here would be jumping down Spielmans throat if Kalil went somewhere else and played well. The only thing I can agree with you on is Sendejo. Simple as that.

Look I don't think Peterson isn't the best or second best in the NFL. I think Peterson almost hurts us more than he helps us for the following reasons.

He wants the ball all the time and when things don't go his way he complains to the media about wanting to go to Dallas
or about how many carries he has had.

His inability to catch the ball and fumble.

Making twice what any other player in his role does in the NFL ..when he has glaring problems as a pass catcher and fumbles a lot..

Finally I think Teddy would perform better when he would be used to win more games.

McKInnon and Ivory IMO could possible be more effective than Peterson Alone and IMO help the Vikings teamwork....

IIRC it was three fumbles, with one recovered. I think two were redzone drive killers. At least he put in the work to go with a nearly clean sheet the following year.

First of all, everyone knocks Peterson for his hands which I've argued plenty of times. He doesnt have bad hands. The reason he isn't always out there on passing downs is due to his pass blocking. Not his hands. This has been discussed plenty of times before.

Also, Ivory is nothing but a stop gap IMO.

Peterson and Teddy aren't a good mix I agree, but its hard to say, "yeah just trade him" when 1.) you don't know if anyone would give up that much for him and 2.) the fact that he has carried this team for how many years now
