As for flipping the script, I agree with you guys. There's an opportunity to take advantage of GB's familarity with the Vikes without revealing what could be considered playoff wrinkles. They just need to mix it up better...and execute, of course.

They might as well be spicy with the chance to get revenge for losing at home and win the division. Norv and Zimmer better not bring San Diego style chili-ball tonight

7:30 can't come soon enough..... I really want the Vikings to win this game in a dominating fashion. But, if they lose I will not be too heartbroken as long as they play hard and keep it close.
I believe the defensive line even if Linval does not go will be too much for the patched together banged up O line the Packers are going to put out tonight. I also believe the injuries to their O line is going to make the Packers coachi ng staff quick to pull their starters that are a Lil banged up.

I see these teams as fairly evenly matched over the course of the last few seasons, the one big mismatch has been Rodgers. In spite of that mismatch it's seems that the Vikes have been out toughed, out coached, and out executed pretty consistently against the Pack. I really feel the Vikings are the better team in terms of the talent that will be suited up tonight.
Zimmer and Norv have to bring their A-game and it needs to trickle down. It has to be that way from here on out, cause this is where the little mistakes will get amplified. I think it would be a mistake if they coach and play conservatively....they need to impose their will by hitting them hard often and keeping them off balance from the getgo.
It's a 50/50 deal imo, so who wants it more?

When these two teams last met, I felt like the answer to that question was clearly "Green Bay" and honestly, I'm still ticked about that. I hope the Vikings are too and I'd love to see that manifest in the quality and intensity of their performance tonight. They need to play smart but they also need to play some of their best, most intensely focused football of the season.

I agree. It's as if the Vikes are a little bit in awe of Rodgersand Co. Maybe it's been true, as they are a young group....It looks to me they are growing up a lot in the last 4-5 weeks. Same could be said for Zimmer as the HC, at least from my pov.

It is one thing for a player to play for another team (getting paid, playing time, etc.) a la Brett Favre.

It is another thing for someone, who is supposed to primarily be a fan, just because he was lucky enough to get paid to dress up and frolic on the side lines.

It is not like he is a faceless actor in a costume.

I think Clay Matthews was a key player in week 11. He seemed like he was living in the backfield disrupting both the run and pass. The Vikings need to somehow neutralize him today. Maybe use a lot of 2 back sets or have someone shadow Matthews just to put a body on him.

Utilizing a RB in the passing game would give him some more to think about.
I hope we see more of McKinnon in that regard

Somebody should be hitting him on every play.

I think the Vikes would be wise to run up the middle at Matthews rather than run laterally, where he's strong in pursuit. It's tough to "shadow" a linebacker though. They have more freedom of movement.

The Vikes need to account for Peppers too.

.. or just more of AD, who's capable of really giving Matthews something to think about at the end of a play.
