I actually love it.
Wife and I are building a new house and have moved out of our old one -- and into mom's.
That means I lost NFL Sunday Ticket.
I'll take any nationally televised game. It guarantees I can watch it.

I dislike nationally televised games because I only have Sunday Ticket streaming (no access to OTA TV). Any time they play a nationally televised game, I have to go watch it somewhere besides at home.

I thought Sunday night games are free to watch online?

I'm pretty sure they are. I watched one online earlier this season.

They are, but only if you have a cable/satellite provider to sign in with on nbc's site. If you don't have a cable provider, you can get like 30 minutes or something before it kicks you off.
It is on nbc though, so as long as you own a tv, even if you don't own cable you should be able to get it with a standard antenna. I don't have cable, and I also do the online gamepass regularly , but can always watch the standard networks with just a regular antenna. They do black out the sunday night games for US/Canada but if you aren't in one of those places, you can watch the sunday night games with gamepass.

GRRRR prime time game.....the Vikes ought to have special Brown Pants for prime time games...just to hide the embarrassing stains they always display.

Oh that's right forgot about the sign-in thing. Hopefully the antennae thing works or the "alternative" means that are usually readily available. Worse comes to worse, you can always crash at Jim's house

Wait, what't their prime time record over the last 3 years? Something like 15-1? Well you know when the talking heads say "The haven't lost a home game in 2 years." And the next thing you know, they gets their #### kicked? Well, maybe it's that time for the Vikings.

Willing to bet that if the Vikings win this weekend and the Packers lose (that would guarantee the final game was for the division) that the final game would be flexed to Sunday Night. Or at least to a 330 kickoff. The only other game that week that I think would be flexed would be Eagles/Giants and that's only if it's to determine who wins the east.
The Eagles are maxed out in primetime games this season at 6, so that game can't be flexed.

Does primetime include the late afternoon national game? Or just the Night games?

I didn't know there was a cap on the number of primetime games a team can play. That's interesting.

There is. Because of the parity rules. Otherwise all we would see in prime time is the Patriots, Packers and Cowboys.
If the Vikings win and Packer lose, I would expect the possibility of the last game being flexed. But that also depends on other teams and playoff possibilities.
Pretty sure prime time games are any games on Thursday, Sat night, Sunday night and Monday night.

I know our record is something like 1-20 in primetime games lately, but how many of those have been on the road? All the ones I can think of are on the road. Even the 2 this year so far were in SF and AZ.
Not that it makes that record any better, but we have also been terrible on the road over that time span (except this year), too. Plus, away teams on TNF rarely win anyway - all of the times I can remember us being on TNF we have been on the road.
It will be nice to see how this team performs in primetime at home this year.
