We only gave up 2 sacks today. Chiefs are usually one of the sack leading teams in the Leauge.

Points are without any doubt the REAL measure of a Defense.

akvikingsfan wrote:The Good
- Diggs is showing to be a good receiver for the Vikings. I believe he has more yards in two games than the other receivers have in 5 (haven't checked stat lines to confirm)
- The defense shows week in and week out that they are the strength of this team
- Although ugly, the Vikings found a way to pull out a win. Improving to 3-2 on the season.
- Teddy played a pretty decent game (minus the two picks, one being a bad pass the other being a great play by Peters)
- Walsh hit on all his attempts today

The Bad
- The offensive line can not play worth a lick. Hopefully they improve once Sullivan comes back.
- Wallace with the two drops. Has he done anything for us? Seems like a wasted trade.
- Officiating was bad for both teams. Missed the safety and the blown whistle are the two big plays.

The Ugly
- Throwing the interception in the red zone.
- Offensive play calling as a whole.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct flag at the end on Barr.
Great play by Peters? Teddy threw is right to him. Wallace did do something for us. Last week when he scored and had 8 catches?

 I would take Wallace over Johnson for sure. Did anyone watch the Denver game? Mike Wallace played well ya know

You are correct. I forgot about the Denver game. Wallace did put together a nice performance that game. The bye week made me forget about it.

Yes, but that was partly because Peters made a great read on the play and got himself in position to make the pick. The ball wasn't even thrown to the receiver he was assigned to cover. It was a bad decision by Bridgewater but I think it was clearly an excellent play by Peters.

Yeah the one game they actually pass block well, the run blocking was the worst I've ever seen.

This is still a very young team and not many believe that they will be any better than a long shot wild card team.
Next year will be a different story all together IMO. They will be in their new stadium, key additions made via the draft or trades, the return of Sully and Load, another full year under TB's belt and the continued emergence of players lie Barr, Kendricks, Floyd, Hunter, Diggs etc..
I think that they will remain competitive the rest of the year win a couple they shouldn't and lose a coupe (like the 49er's game) and finish the year with 8-10 wins.
TB was playing pretty well the first half but any way you slice it he was very sloppy and ineffective the second half. I chalk this up to youth, experience and a lousy o-line. Had AD gotten going then believe you me it would have opened lots of doors to the passing game.
I look forward to a very interesting and some times exciting rest of the season but I am looking forward to next year and a championship run.
Do not mistake KINDNESS for WEAKNESS!

Some guys that I don't see mentioned much on here that had huge games are Shariff Floyd and Eric Kendricks. Both of them were all over the place today.

Yup there is no way he was taunting the Chiefs, all he was doing was going over to celebrate with Rhodes.
Just another example on how terrible the refs were in this game, not only this game but most games this week.

I thought the defense played very well, Kendricks looks fast and very instinctual. From what I saw of Danielle Hunter he looked very fast. What can I say about Diggs that hasn't been said already except maybe Why did they wait so long to get him into games. Makes me wonder about Exum, I want to see him play.

The offense on the other hand......... OMG OPEN SOME DAMN HOLES!!!!! seriously as soon as AP got the ball he was hit.
Teddy needs to make better decisions, the first interception was just a terrible idea and a even worse throw. On the second interception ya, the DB made a nice play but it was still a bad decision to even throw that ball, the reciever on the top side of the play was wide open coming across the.middle.

In my opinion Norv needs to call smarter plays, I think the play calling was pretty mediocre all game.

But, a win is a win no matter how it comes.

New England has bigger holes being made for their RB and that is with like 9th stringers in there.

munnerlyn played well too. Diggs needs to start. Starting to see why we got Wallace as cheaply as we did
