Now who's generalizing?
Seriously, though, I agree with you in principle (although I think 99% is a stretch). They're rich, they're in great shape, and they have women throwing themselves at them on a regular basis. It's not a complicated formula. Even the wisest of men is a fool for love -- or at least sex.
Doesn't excuse anything. There are consequences for every action, good or bad. Some of those consequences for rich public figures are likely to include bad press.

I wish everyone that plays for the Vikings was a great guy but that's just not going to be the case. Hell my favorite athlete as a kid was Kirby Puckett and he was as squeaky clean as they came and look what kind of guy he turned out to be. I was also a fan of Michael Jordan and had the opportunity to interact with him on a couple of occasions and he is a total piece of garbage. So far we know that Peterson likes sex alot, has some kids out of wedlock, and trying to be a hard #### part time dad, went too far disciplining his kid. Hardly the Hannibal Lechter everyone is trying to make him out to be to sell newspapers and get people to go to their websites. My parents never laid a hand on me but one time when I was 8 my parents made me sit at the kitchen table for 10 hours until I finished every bite of my spinach that was on my plate. Nowadays that would probably be considered inhumane and child abuse by this tree hugging society.

The Vikings did a good job of hiding AD's personal life. This is why you cant have kids thinking they are role models. But im at fault as well, I think I've bought 4 of his jersey's.

Peterson hasn't had a perfect image in quite a long time. Just not nearly this bad.
It's silly how a bunch of stuff that never even went as far as having charges filed is now suddenly proof of wrongdoing.
He's flawed enough without reaching that far.

this is just getting beyond ridiculous. The media is clearly on a mission to tarnish Peterson's name at this point.
Quick question, someone here mentioned sex with a minor allegations? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not the case here. The minor in this instance was a male, and although I can't say for certain, I don't believe someone can be charged with sex with a minor without actually physically engaging in a sexual act with a minor.
Anyways, someone also mentioned that this is probably common among professional athletes, and I can attest to that. My cousin plays in the NHL and while he's never told me any stories about himself personally, I've heard quite a few stories about teammates engaging in acts that would be frowned upon. For example an athlete receiving oral sex in a hotel lobby from a random girl while his wife and kids were upstairs in their hotel room.

So your fine with someone buying a hooker for a minor? That's an upstanding man of character in your mind? He was scum (most of us knew this) when we found out how he disciplined one of his many illegitimate sons. All this is just more proof.

wait, now there's prostitution involved in this story? Where does it say that
and ftr, I'm not "fine" with any of this stuff. I just frankly don't think it really matters. If you're not breaking the law, I don't care how anyone chooses to live there life, they have that right. Doesn't mean I have to agree with it, but I also don't judge people for their lifestyles, and I certainly don't demand they be fired from their jobs because they have a sex life that I personally would not be involved with.
I'd also like to add, if I had an "underage" relative (assuming we're talking about 16-17 year old) who had a chance to get laid, and I had the financial means to help him out by paying for a hotel room (not a hooker), I frankly don't see anything wrong with that. I was a teenager once too

Pathetic sensationalist journalism. Sad thing is that there will be gullible americans who buy this crap. Between this and the Jim Harbaugh situation the media has been absolutely piss poor, as usual I suppose.

I'm just impressed that you were stubborn enough as an 8 year old to sit for
10 hours refusing to eat spinach!

I still don't know where I stand on the Peterson thing, but aren't we all imperfect/flawed human beings?
