Walsh? Took a step back. Kalil? Step back. Jennings? Looked pretty pedestrian.
Peterson.
Smith looked solid when he was healthy. But hardly "big" level.
Patterson has potential.
Lucky if we have a big two, much less a big three.
Hopefully some good coaching will give us a big team!

Hard to name a big three combining both sides of the ball considering the "big three" should be playing/working together on the court/field.
Offensive big 3
Adrian
CP84
Rudolph
Defensive big 3
Harrison
Greenway (eventually/hopfully Anthony Barr fills this spot)
Brian Robison (experience, very talented, leader)
Defensive 3 looks a little shaky
SKOL!

Jumping the gun a year and maybe 2, but who cares....
Offensive Big 3...
AD
CP84
Teddy B
sleeper alert for joining this group if given the opportunity.... Rodney Smith
Still think we are a field stretching receiving TE/3rd WR from being good.
Defensive Big 3-4...
Barr
Rhodes
Griffen
Smith
sleeper alert for joining this group .... Linval Joseph
Really, I like how this defense is shaping up in personnel. Moving Greenway inside, which I have been preaching for years, allows Barr and Hodges or Mauti to step into roles at LB. Haven't had a good MLB since ???? Wow, McDaniel?
Greenway could be that guy and it seems elite MLB are few and far between. OLB are everywhere to be found. Never know why the idiots that ran the team before couldn't figure that out ???
Just hope that they are able to gel quickly !

Yeah, some pretty serious gun jumping there.

GBFavreFan wrote:But to answer the original question I don't believe the Vikings are a Big Three type team. Our talent is more evenly distributed and we're just not that type like a Aikman/Irvin/Smith thing where those 3 are a step above everyone else. Our talents also spread from offense to defense, so again wouldn't categorize us a "Big 3" type team.
Hopefully our receivers of Jennings/Patterson/Simpson will emerge as a "Big 3" receiving threat once we have a real QB starting for a full season. Then again you can't discount Rudolph either, so I wouldn't limit us to 3 there either.
^^^This we don't have a big 3. To have a big 3, in my opinion you need a great QB, RB, and WR on offense. On defense you need a great DL, LB, and DB to consistently step up. So far the only person we have to show up in a BIG WAY almost every game is Peterson. Everyone else has their moments during some games but not in a way where you can say someone like Rudolph and Patterson are the reason our offense is so successful. But hopefully they can change that soon.
It may that be in this season but my projected big three will be Bridgewater, Peterson, and Patterson.

Big 3 is relative, meaning they may not be as good as a big 3 on another team, but to your team they are. For me it's, AD, CP84, and Jennings on offense. On defense it's Rhodes, Smith, Everson.

We have a big 1. That's it.

Our big three?
1. AD's left leg
2. AD's right leg
3. AD's non-ball carrying arm, used to stiff arm.

...was a little concerned about where you were going with that.
