I live in a college town and can't even guess how many young women I've spoken too that have claimed they were "roofied" in the recent past. It's certainly in the dozens. Something like "Yeah, I was out Wednesday night and can't remember walking home. I recall talking to this sketchy dude and 'm pretty sure I was roofied." I politely nod and then think to myself "Yeah, and I've seen you knock down six shots in a half hour, beside your Long Island Iced Teas or your double vodka, cranberry drinks."

Obviously Sharper shows a disturbing pattern, which I think will be the crux of any case against him. Individual claims are often easily dismissed. A celeb picks up some skank in a bar and she later claims to have blacked out? Tests show Ambien and morphine in her system? Yeah, big surprise.

One accusation of drugging and rape, I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of doubt. Two times, maybe. But seven separate accusations in four different states?! And a bail of $1 million. Sharper will have his day(s) in court and the burden is on the prosecution to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt, but clearly Sharper is some kind of scum bag. Perhaps a very dangerous psychopathic sexual predator.

That makes perfect sense. So I guess there's no need to have an innocent until proven guilty law right? Since people are usually guilty anyway. Whenever someone is charged with something we should just send them straight to prison.

Did I say all that? Are we talking about personal opinions concerning guilt or proving guilt?

And, yes, from my experience, a good percentage of the time (usually) if someone is charged with something, they are guilty, involved, etc. Usually people don't randomly get charged with crimes. Sometimes mistakes happen, and I understand that; however, I think these days, they get it right more than they get it wrong...ya know, usually. And considering all of that, that is why, sometimes, people jump to conclusions based on someone's guilt before it is "proven."

Sharper better get the best damn lawyers he can because the deck is not in his favor. I'm a "innocent until proven guilty" type of guy myself, however, when evidence starts to pile up...the defendant loses my vote.

I agree. All convicted serial rapists should be. The statute is only 5 years so I hope they are on the ball with this.
