How else can they be viewed??? They are one of the worst defensive units in the league. Every team in the NFL would love to play against us on a weekly basis. This defense can make ANY q/b in the league look like J. Montana in his prime and every w/r look like J. Rice. The only reason r/b's don't put up better #'s is because teams throw all day long knowing they can complete 60% + without really trying. They are currently on pace to set the all time high for points given up in franchise history. How much worse can it get. I hope we don't ever find out.
It's so bad that I don't know what's a higher priority: QB or LB. CJ Mosely and Anthony Barr both look absolutely fantastic. Might be better to go QB in the second (AND third).
The stat that really jumps out for me is the fact this also happened in 2011. We cited injuries, etc as part of the problem back then as well. However, it has happened twice now and it begs the question of what the heck is the issue? Other teams see players get hurt, and they do not fall off the cliff like this. What is so special about MN?

Here's how offensive meetings are the week before for a team playing the Vikings.
QB: dudes, it's the inbred Viking defense we're playing. Slot receiver... just go 5 yards on 3rd down and they won't cover you. Outside WRs...just go deep and I'll get it to you. RBs...run right at something called "Marvin Mitchell".
