As I said, I believe that Adrian is a good man and will do the right thing. This talk about hoping he has a good game because of this "adversity" is just wrong on so many levels and that is why I commented.

I truly hope that young boy is able to make a full recovery and that the evil POS who hurt him doesn't see the light of day for many, many years. Unfortunately he has a child/children as well who will now be without a father and this cycle of absentee fathers, single mothers and abusive relationships will likely continue with the children paying the price. It is a very sad world that we live in.

Word of caution: Adrian Peterson has more than one child. Some bad assumptions are being made this morning relative to that fact.

#Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has return to team headquarters. He is expected to speak and address his personal situation after practice.

This is horrible!! Some people are just so messed up. Pathetic.

One thing I am wondering, what does AD having more than one kid have to do with anything here?

These pictures break my heart.

I know we don't know Adrian--and this would hurt regardless of who it happened to--but it hurts a little bit more knowing it happened to AP's son. At least for me, there is some kind of emotional connection there. It just sucks. I can't imagine the overwhelming feeling of helplessness in a situation like this as a parent...and the regret. It's devastating. I know sometimes we tend to think rich and famous people have it all--that they are untouchable. This is a sad reminder that these guys are people just like you and me--and no one is safe from the sick people in the world. We shouldn't have to be reminded to do so, but times like these should remind us to be grateful for all of our loved ones...tomorrow isn't guaranteed.

its his son.....AP JR.

Now the article is reporting that it isn't his son. Either way, what a horrible story.

Yeah. I don't get that either. But, the last time I knew he had like 4 or 5 kids. But, does that make this somehow less significant? NO. Some people...

Definitely horrible regardless. Pretty pathetic that they are screwing up the details like that, too. Wow.

If that turns out to be the case, this is some truly despicable reporting. Either way, it is somebody's son. And it is just as tragic.

Because nobody is confirming anything, media is speculating. Gets interpreted as truth. Sometimes reported that way, unfortunately. I'm sure we'll get clarity sometime. Either way, it's a tragic, heart-wrenching story.

It may be that, if he has more than one child, it may still be his child, just a different one than the one being reported?

Update
:::: UPDATE :::: A source in South Dakota who says she knows the family of the child involved says the victim was not Adrian Peterson's son. From an email she sent us:

Just a heads up, TMZ is reporting incorrect information, it's not AP Jr who is in the hospital in Sioux Falls, it's [name withheld, but the child's last name isn't Peterson].

I live here in Sioux Falls and have been kept up to date via friends of [the child's] mom....

The woman also provided a link to the CaringBridge page of the injured child.

Son or not, it almost has to be a relative...you'd think?

I guess if people thought it was his and Ashley Browns kid and his EX GIRLFRIEND had him for some reason that'd be pretty weird!

I'd give AD a pass for finding this guy and beating the #### out of him even if it lead to his suspension.
