... and even if they are indicative of future performance, does enjoying them or seeing something in the team's performance in a 1 point loss make people "happy with being close"? I watch football to enjoy it. Last week I spent Sunday watching my favorite NFL team play a really, exciting, competitive game with a dramatic finish and I had the pleasure of experiencing it all in person. That was awesome. If there are people who can only appreciate a game like that if their team wins, that's truly a shame. There's a lot more to enjoy about a game than just the outcome.BGM wrote: Is it happiness with being close, or trying to see good things in a rough start to the season? Not only were they road games, they were division road games in what many consider the strongest division in football top to bottom. Context lends credibility to the idea that these first two games are not necessarily indicative of future performance.
QFT, it was a hell of game!Mothman wrote:

Oh yeah? Well, you two are just homers... You probably started Ponder on your fantasy team and have Tahi jerseys too.Mothman wrote: ... and even if they are indicative of future performance, does enjoying them or seeing something in the team's performance in a 1 point loss make people "happy with being close"? Heck, I'm still starting Tahi on my fantasy team and Fuad Reveiz is my kicker. That's the level of my Vikings commitment, man!The Breeze wrote:Oh yeah? Well, you two are just homers... You probably started Ponder on your fantasy team and have Tahi jerseys too.
I was going to suggest something like that...and then you pull a Fuad Shot. Well played sir.Mothman wrote: Heck, I'm still starting Tahi on my fantasy team and Fuad Reveiz is my kicker. That's the level of my Vikings commitment, man!
Thanks! I can't take all the credit. I saw a guy at the game last Sunday wearing a Fuad Reveiz jersey so he was on my mind. That's not a jersey you see people wearing too often! The Breeze wrote:I was going to suggest something like that...and then you pull a Fuad Shot. Well played sir.

The Breeze wrote: But you were frustrated when they drafted him if I recall correctly...so, it prolly seems a lot longer than less than 2 full seasons.
I want him to either succeed or not...the shades of gray are making me gray....er

Did they get a participation ribbon? Or maybe the FedEx "Try Hard" award?
