Cris did a great job with his speech, and I'm happy for him and proud he was a Viking. Over the last few years, you can see how upset he is about the fact he never won a ring while he was here. Man that 98-99 season was ours. :wallbang: Oh well, Congrats Cris!

So nice to see a great player who is also a real, decent man enter the HOF. I remember watching him play with AC back in the day, and when AC left, then CC really shined. He had the best hands, and was the best clutch receiver I've ever seen. No one could work the sidelines like him.

I'm really proud for him, and I think he showed a lot of class delivering his speech. I also liked how he did touch on his substance abuse issue and how he was able to overcome it. I wish him the best!

CC will always be #80, not matter who else wears it for The Boys.

I thought his number was retired? But can't people still request to wear it? ...maybe not.

According to what I'm seeing...10, 53, 70, 77, 80, and 88 are all retired.

Finally watched it. My cousin decided to get married last night. Shame on him.

It was definitely an emotional speech. I loved it. I'm sure they'll play the whole show again on NFL Network someday. I'll watch it then. Some things are just better on TV! :) Also, when you click on the video as it's playing it definitely says "Chris Carter." Blah.

Did anyone hear his explanation of his name tonight? I already heard it before, but it was hilarious when Cris Collinsworth said he was changing his last name to Carter now because he's in the Hall of Fame. I love Cris. Both of them!

Kind of surprised he didn't give a shout out to Jerry Burns or Dennis Green. Hardly any Vikings really..
