I agree and it's also the main reason I made that statement. There were some Vikes fans who showed patience while Culpepper developed but overall, as I recall those seasons, the fan base as a whole wasn't particularly patient or supportive of Culpepper.

It's too bad Daunte got hurt when he did and then the coaching staff changed, because I think he had a real chance to be that franchise guy for the Vikings.

I loved Daunte except for his two minute drill in which he (and his coach) apparently didn't know there are only 120 seconds.

But an inconsistent QB who takes medication for ADHD is just so perfect for this Vikings team!

The Vikings/Spielman handled the Harvin situation perfectly over the last year.

The guy played with a broken rib over his heart but yet rushed for 2 tds. and made some crucial first downs and put them in a great position to win the game with minutes left and the defense, as they did in two of the other loses blew it. For sure he threw some crummy passes but try and throw a ball with a broken rib. Most people could not bend over and tie a shoe lace with broken ribs. What a quitter he is

Ponder on the brain, eh? I knew somewhere deep down you kind of liked him.

Yeah, all these Ponderaholic apologists first talking down about Cassel's performance, now talking up Ponder, and even after everything acting like he's still #1 on the depth chart. Completely out of touch with reality.

And yeah, fractured ribs over the heart going to kill him...and barely winces. Makes one comment on sideline half heartedly. Continues to play with no issues. And practices the next week.
