Walsh could have made one of those fifty yarder chances. Ten points and a field goal to close the half could have been giant. Now we go into the second half only up a touchdown against stafford/johnson.

Maybe he's trying to polish up his resumé for the offseason.Lash Man wrote:I wish JA would have given this effort all season .

Why are you punting in a meaningless game for playoff consideration but a meaningful game in franchise history? Go balls out and win this game, you scared cowards.
Re: Lions @ Vikings Game Day DiscussionThread -- Week 17
Pete Bercich on the radio broadcast just wondered aloud why Cordarelle Patterson has so few touches since his TD.

Yeah, that's why they punted. They're "scared cowards".

Regardless, it still gives Frazier no excuse to have him on the bench all season. And if it wasn't for Simpson's DWI, he still possibly wouldn't be getting much time. The DWI was the only reason he started. This goes for the rest of the injuries/legal troubles we had and its the only reason guys are playing. Don't you find it odd that every one of them are playing better than who was previously in that position.Mothman wrote:For pete's sake, people, let it go. Patterson came off the bench and stayed off it a long time ago. There's something sad about fans who, when a great player makes a great play, immediately go straight to "Fire the coaches". Try just enjoying the moment once in a while!
-Ponder gets hurt, Cassel comes in and outperforms him
-Simpson gets a DWI and Patterson gets the start, has been exploding since
-Rudolph goes down, Carlson comes in and shows how he is being underutilized
-Henderson gets a DWI and Cole comes in, Cole outperforms him and gets the nod
-Robinson gets hurt and Rhodes comes in, outperforms him by miles and miles.
....I'm pretty sure there is a problem there and that is all on Frazier and his staff. It's not just Patterson, its everyone else thats filled in for injured/troubled players. So yes, Frazier and his staff should be blamed for that. He let all that talent sit the bench throughout half the season and now they're proving him wrong and making him look dumber and dumber for not having them in the game.

The saddest thing in life is wasted talent and the choices you make will shape your life forever.

I'm sure it's some real strategic thinking on the part of frazier...making sure we don't rush him into too much action. Might be overwhelming for him.Mothman wrote: It's a good question.

That is what he'd say, too. If it was not for hard hits and cop collars he would start allVette3434 wrote: I'm sure it's some real strategic thinking on the part of frazier...making sure we don't rush him into too much action. Might be overwhelming for him.
of his friends and we would be 0-16.
