I watched that play a few times and he was even more open than the pics in that other thread show because he was pulling away from the DB as the ball bounced off the finger tips of his big Mickey Mouse gloves xD. The DB bit on the underneath so he reacted late to Webb flying past him.

Still blame oline. I clearly see two players 8 yard close to him. How is he suppose to throw the ball with that kind of pressure?

I can't believe that image. It's pretty pathetic when an NFL quarterback can't be decivisive enough to plant and fire when someone is that open in the damn NFL.

People who say Plunger stays with his first read are giving him too much credit. I don't think he reads anything; he decides in the huddle who he will throw to and that's that. But they have to get open of course and that's not quite open.

And to me, this is Webb's primary asset. In one on one coverage and specifically short yardage situation, this guy should be able to beat defenders straight up the field. Even if the defender is close he will out jump them.

Goal line, short yardage....they should have a package for this guy regardless of the depth chart. When defenders start giving him a cushion, throw him a slant.

CP84 has the same advantage. With Jennings and Wright underneath, this Wr corp should strike fear in defenses.

They actually look better each week....but Ponder is at least one tick slow at the switch. Also, nervous as any QB I've seen.

Thanks for compiling all that data....that's very useful stuff.

We'll see if Cassel can keep his wits and find these guys downfield and open up the running game.

My thoughts exactly. And--that image makes me want to break stuff.

I suppose that's another benefit of watching the games in the Dome--they don't show you those sad replays. I was waiting to see the replays on a couple of Ponder's misses. It didn't happen! Thank God. The booing was bad enough. It would have been ten times worse if they showed some of Ponder's nonsense more than once. I just don't get this guy. I could make that throw! It doesn't get much easier than that!

That's just foolish. Its clearly our defenses fault. Our cornerbacks aren't even in the frame!!!
