Who cares what the media says, all we know is that Saints fans are feeling 100% worse than what we felt after the 2010 NFC championship!808vikingsfan wrote:Kind of a nitpick but I'm getting a little irritated by how the media is portraying yesterday's game. If you didn't watch it, you would think the Saints were winning the entire game and the Vikings just got lucky at the end. As I posted earlier, the Vikings were in the lead for 97% of the game. If not for bad play calling and time management, it would have been a routine win at the end.

I actually think they'll be able to compete at a high level for a while. The big unknown is the QB situation but otherwise the team is very much in tact next year. They do have a number of guys they need to sign the following but their cap space is pretty good. If Spielman can keep working the draft, that will help fill any potential holes too.SP1966 wrote:

I walked off early in the third and couldn't
watch my son came running in screaming
and yelling and broke my dogs bowl by stepping
on the corner, I watched the last few minutes.
My first thought that Saints guy did a Sendajo
tackle and blocked his own guy, maybe his
spirit was on the field after the cheap shot.

That picture is f'n hilarious. I'd like to put that on a purple T- or sweatshirt.
My voice is still hoarse and I didn't even go to the game. Absolutely incredible finish and I couldn't think of a better team to have done it against

I, like everyone else here, thought it was over.
Watched the team let it all slip away in the 2nd half.
Then a miracle happened.
The NFL gods smiled for the Vikings for once after years of heartbreak.
Best Viking playoff moment in my memory.
Hopefully better ones are coming.
Cheers to all the long-timers here on the board. You all deserve it.
SKOL!

While we’ve certainly seen a number of stories involving the Apple Watch heart rate monitor helping to save lives, this is the first we’ve time we’ve seen reports of the Apple Watch alerting wearers that they happened to be watching one of the crazier games in NFL playoff history. To this point, Diggs’ spectacular catch yesterday marked the only time in NFL postseason history where a game-winning touchdown was scored with no time left on the clock.

I started one of those "Skol" chants at Manny's. What a FANTASTIC evening. I was so deflated in the fourth quarter -- particularly after the Saints converted on 4th down -- only to experience complete and total euphoria. I and many fans around me had tears of joy running down our faces. I was the recipient of a number of hugs from strangers. What an experience. Got back to Chicago today, and I'm now looking at flights/hotels/ticket options for Philly. Can't wait!!!Texas Vike wrote:I was at the game. I can’t even express how amazing the atmosphere was in there. After the game strangers were hugging and high fives were flying it was such collective euphoria. Later, at Mannys steakhouse folks broke out in the SKOL chant twice. The city was electric. Even this morning at MSP folks in Vikings gear are reliving it all together. I feel so fortunate to have been there.

That's awesome. I think I know which group was yours, then. We were at a booth just a couple tables over from you guys. Such a good time.
I hope you bring the team good luck in Philly.

Wow, Oh my god, did that really happen? Some fan reactions....
I've been a fan since the 70's and this doesn't happen to the Vikings!
Since the game ended in my disbelief, I've been occasionally crying while watching some of the fan reactions on youtube, here's some links if you need them, thanks for the Diggs matador image, the titanic music video and the radio broadcast videos.
Still in disbelief.

It sounds like this will be referred to as the “Minnesota Miracle” or the “Minneapolis Miracle”, but I think it ought to be called the “What the F*&! Just Happened?!” game.

Re: Holy F*ckin sh*t post-game thread madness
People are saying ignore it. But i cant seem to shake how the media is treating this. Its almost like the vikings are villains now and poor drew brees. Its mind boggling. I really wish they would have made that 4th down stop but lets be real here. How many wideouts would have caught that and immediately ran out of bounds? Diggs made a phenomenal play and all they can talk about is how the rookie messed up and how brees was robbed. Its kinda pissing me off

Great story.....hope your family was just as excited as you. Let's keep this ride going. Skolvikeinmontana wrote:I was driving home from Helena yesterday where my son had a hoops tourney. of course with my luck he had games at 2 and 4 with a 2:40 vikes kickoff here in montana. I also coach the team so that made keeping up with the 1st half problematic. anyway, long story short, heading home, streaming the game on my phone on the dashboard. like many here I was dejected. was in disbelief that after a 17 point lead this was going to be yet another lousy chapter of our teams history. then the play happened. i'm not joking when I say I nearly went off the road. I literally had to pull over for the safety of my family. this is a moment i'll never forget.
I don't know how the rest of the season will unfold, but I am so happy our season didn't end in the fashion that it looked like it might. but we get at least one more game. would love to stay on this ride.
