So ready for the draft to be here! It's April today. At least we're in the right month now!

Good read on Doctson, especially for posters who may not know his history:
http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/03/31/nfl-dr ... cu-wyoming
As for whether he is or is not worthy of a first round pick, I think the numbers speak for themselves:
he performed in the 93rd percentile of all receivers' SPARQ (Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness) scores. Over the past 17 draft classes, only 13 wideouts have matched his speed (4.5-second 40-yard dash), vertical jump (41", best among receivers), broad jump (10' 11", second best) and height—and he scored extra points by weighing in at 200 pounds. According to one AFC East scout, Doctson solidified a spot in the first round of the draft, and even if his size will likely keep him as the second receiver off the board behind Ole Miss's Laquon Treadwell, he may have the greatest upside of any player at his position in the 2016 class.

Superman wrote:Just saw an article on NFL.com about this German wide receiver playing in the GFL that is working out for the draft and even met with the Vikings last night. A project, no doubt, but crazy speed for his size, I think 6'4" like 220lbs with 4.39 40 speed. Wouldn't mind blowing a seventh on him.
...I don't feel finding and posting the link, it's on NFL.com with some video.
Notice what number he was wearing? lol Looked good on film......I'm with ya in that I would consider using a 6 or 7 on him.

Love it!! I really have a good feeling we are drafting him at 23 as long as he's there. Would absolutely love that pick

I would like either of them too but I'd much rather take Treadwell or Doctson in the first

Laquon Treadwell posted a picture on his Instagram today of the Vikings WRs and his location was the Vikings practice facility so he must've been on a visit there today

Enjoyed it, thanks for posting. I found the subterfuge theory interesting, but unlikely. I think they are genuinely interested in Doctson in the same way that they were with Barr and Waynes, and I really hope that Doctson is still available at #23.
I can't believe how under appreciated his abilities are. His senior season numbers, which jump off the page, were for 2/3 of a season! 79 receptions, 1327 yards and 14 TDs. Projecting that out he could have made it to 2000 yards and 20 TDs. Folks like to point out the Big 12s zone coverages and question Doctson's ability to excel in man, press coverage. But when he has played against teams from other conferences (especially Ole Miss's #1 D in the bowl game of 2014) he has looked no less impressive, so I'm not concerned about that. The only concern I have with Doctson is whether Teddy and the Line are good enough to take advantage of Doctson's best virtues--catching long balls where he out jumps and out maneuvers the secondary.
If Doctson is available at 23 and we pass, I'll be very surprised and pretty disappointed.

I could obviously be wrong but if he's available, I think the Vikes are going to draft him.

Doctson, Ragland, Billings all sitting at #23 who would you pick?
Probably the responsible thing to do would be take Doctson. But with Zim you never know

I'd go Doctson. BPA and at a position of need? The stars have aligned!
Those would be two back up picks that I'd be happy with though (Billings and Ragland). We'd take a serious step towards helping our Run D.
