It's a different assignment for the line in this defense than in a Cover-2. The line's first priority in this defense is stopping the run, not getting to the QB.

Wallace SUCKS at running routes, he flat out sucks, one move and thats just running in a straight line.

Yeah the announcers said the ball was late but it looked like Wallace just ran a terrible route. Did it take him 3 steps to change directions?
