I feel the same way about the Vikings... if they want to be considered a playoff team, they need to beat the good teams on the road. They got a couple of monkeys off their backs with wins in Detroit and Chicago, but while they are division games, neither team is really doing all that well. I think this is by far the best offense the Vikings have faced all year, and it will be a great test for the Defense. I think the lower the score, the better the Vikings chances are. if the score gets into the upper 20s, I think it favors the Raiders more.

Like last week, I think special teams and penalties will play a big part in this game. Raiders are the 6th most penalized team (3 of the 5 teams above them have played an extra game) while the Vikings are the least.
Don't care if they only kick FGs in this game, I just want them to steal a win in Alameda.

Honestly, it is kinda #### that almost everyone in the national media is doubting the Vikings coming into this game. Everyone is so hard for Derek Carr and the 4-4 Raiders. 4-4, in the AFC West. Ridiculous how they are the favorite.
At the end of the day, yeah, Minnesota struggles on the road. They struggle out in the west-coast traditionally. This Oakland team is much improved since last year - it will be a tough contest.
However, this is a team that has also shown me that they can win in areas where they have historically struggled. They beat Chicago at Chicago. They beat Detroit at Detroit. They finally beat the Chiefs. They beat a team with a winning record at home. So, realistically, it is not unfathomable to me to say that Minnesota can beat Oakland in Oakland.
I am saying 21 to 14 Vikings over Raiders. I believe that we hold Latavius in check and that Derek Carr throws for under 300 yards. Meanwhile, Teddy plays an ok game (14/20 for 175 yards and one touchdown) and Adrian Peterson scores twice.
Skol.

It's not unfathomable but should they really be favored?

Just kidding. My take is they tackle better than they cover, but they do both pretty well.
My take is the Vikings D tackles
incredibly well!
Seriously, I've been really impressed with the elevation of fundamentals by the D this year.

The same thing I said to the rams fans, when there isn't a clear front runner toss a couple of points to the home team. So yes Oak should be favored, and hopefully upset!
I was thinking about something a(n) NFL article said when talking about the bears turning around and how they barely lost to a impressive Vikings team, or good or something to that extent. The point being Vikings maybe the reason some of these teams don't look good (who knows maybe we even broke the lions).

I agree. This is what makes this defense tough. They don't have to rely on the pass rush or the coverage. . This D has been successful because of how well they swarm and tackle. That one open field d tackle that Rhodes made on Gurley was a thing of beauty.

With our injury issues this could be a really tough game. I am actually
More worried about this game than Green Bay game

I'm nervous .. I feel like we've had a lot of good fortune on our side this year, and it's hard to say how long that'll last. Eventually that kind of thing tends to even out ..
This is a huge game/test, in my opinion. We haven't sent an offense like this yet this year, and this game is on the road and on the West Coast. It just feels like a dangerous set of circumstances.
I hope we win .. I'm blindly going to say I think we will..just because I'm a Viking fan. Heart over head. I'm going to be so happy if we do come out victorious. Would make my week to go to 7-2.

I am worried that the offense won't be able to stay on the field, the defense will fight to the end but will run out of gas late. The inability to finish drives with touchdowns will bite them in the buttocks.
But I am not totally down, if AP gets going early it could be big day for him and the offense.

Even if we beat the Raiders the same mantra will be spoken. The Vikings haven't beaten a winning team so far this year.
So let's hope the Rams win.

Why? Rams are nothing to the Vikes at this point. Somewhere down the line maybe......But for now we have two games on them and the tie breaker.

IIt does feels like fortune has been on the Vikes side most of the season but I have a feeling fortune isn't going to smile on our favorite team today. I think the Raiders win this one, 27-24.
