It might only be preseason, but Ponder certainly soon needs to provide evidence he is making strides with his accuracy and decision-making. He must also find a rhythm with a receiving corps that’s mostly new to him.

So yeah, the Vikings need to establish timing within their passing attack before the Sept. 8 season opener at Detroit. And they’ll have Friday’s game in Buffalo and an Aug. 25 game at San Francisco to push things along.

Seems like the gripe with Rodgers' leadership is that he is reluctant to accept blame. Not sure how I feel about that. If a receiver runs an option route, both the receiver and the quarterback have to read the same thing. Who's fault is it if they don't? Most quarterbacks jump on the grenade with the media, but Driver is right ... you don't hear Rodgers doing that. What happens on the sidelines is their business. What happens in the media is something else.

It does seem to confirm, at least to a point, Jennings' comments. Driver isn't with another team, especially a rival.

In fairness, Driver does go on to say he thinks Rodgers is a great guy, and remains friends with him. In return fairness, Jennings basically said the same thing.

I'm wondering whether or not Jennings is starting to feel that he made a colossal career mistake. Because he's about to become invisible in Minnesota. When he leaves the Vikings he'll be lucky to get a contract at the league minimum.
