I dont know why everyone is so confident in spying  every time we did it it was a positive play for the Packers, slant, shovel passs and then we werent doing it when Rodgers slipped out of the pocket on a couple of occasions. It literally did nothing to help us.

Pretty sure we got one sack from the spy

Okay, even still one sack for 40 yards on the ground, a TD, 2/2 passes for 18ish yards?

Even if we got a couple of sacks we didn't contain a subpar Rodgers with it. Why would Cam be easier?

I don't think he will be easier. I'm not a defensive strategist so I'll just have to trust Zim to make the right decision on how to contain Cam, whether its using a spy or not. I think Cam's runs are a big threat and they go against our biggest weaknesses: containing slippery QBs, and the run in general.

The difference is Cam is not the same kind of passer that Rogers' is. Not saying Cam sucks, but he is not Aaron Rogers. (Then again Rogers isn't the Rogers of before anymore.)

This will be a really good test for our defense. Hopefully playing the Pack last week will be a nice primer heading into this game.

I agree on our OL being the biggest red flag. The only positive is those guys should have a chip on their shoulder and be out to prove something. The negatives are that so far the only thing they've proven is that they stink. We should be able to get guys open against their secondary, but will we have time to get them the ball?

They're the best run, best-coached team in football and it's not even close. I'm really impressed with their start this season.

Yep, by far. They completely adapted their game plan last night to fit Brissett's skills. Brissett does not look like a great QB, but they used him perfectly last night. That's simply great coaching.

Osweiller looked terrible last night. His throws were way off. I'm sure some credit has to go to the D though.

The most impressive thing about NE is how versatile their players are. They can play, and play competitively multiple styles of offense and defense and on the fly. Last night they were running option style college offense and making it work against what is one of the top 3 defensive lines in football. On top of that, they were doing it with a 3rd string QB and minimal Gronk.

Unreal.

I used to wonder if Belicik would retire when Brady retired, but they put up some interesting facts last night. Belicik is 5-0 starting a first time QB with the Patriots. I'm really wondering how much of Tom Brady is on Brady and how much of it is on Belicik? I think NE will be good so long as Belicik is there.

Remember their OC is Josh McDaniels. Brissert is the type of QB he likes to build around (tebow in Denver). He must have had fun last night.

Not taking anything away from them, they executed amazingly. Just had to be fun for the OC, dusting off his favorite plays. :)

The last time we played the Panthers it was close. If I recall correctly, they won on a last second FG and that FG was basically the result of a dumb holding penalty that had no bearing on the play. It was a hold, I'm just saying it was dumb to hold a guy in that situation.

Granted, Cam and the Panthers have come a long way since then but so have the Vikings. This will be a good test for both teams. Hopefully Rhodes is good to go, we'll need some physicality to defend Benjamin.

Vikings won 31-13 in Carolina with 2 blocked punts that we returned for touchdowns. We made Cam look so bad that the experts were discussing whether or not he was "franchise" material. Seriously. AD was out. Teddy was a rookie.

We've both gotten better since then and I think we match up well. Their DLine scares me but that's about it. I hope Barr shadows Cam all day. Vikes win 24-21.

This strikes me as not even being close either way. One team will win 30-17 with 7 of those in garbage time

Unfortunately, given the events in Charlotte, we don't stand a chance on Sunday. I'm a die hard Vikes fan, but even I can see the writing on the wall. Carolina will use this game as a way to bring the community together much the way New Orleans did after Katrina. Only way we have a chance is if the game is moved to a neutral site.

What I should be doing is getting on a flight to Vegas to put three stacks of high society on Carolina -7. Carolina by double digits.

My bad must have been thinking of the game before that.
