Considering Martin has depression and this was a great way to make him feel even worse...MIA is lucky they didn't have him break down in the middle of a practice and go crazy on Incognito. Who knows what Martin was capable of when it came to retaliation?

He doesn't come across as that kind of guy. More likely to harm himself than others from what I've read.

Maybe JM needs a some help. I doubt Incognito will be the last person to irk his nerves.

TBH thats whats suppose to happen J Martin is suppose to retaliate and fight back, Thats the problem with kids who get bullied they need to learn to stick up for themselves. If you dont stick up for yourself who will.

Easier said than done. Some people will never fight back and imagine if he did physically do it? It would have been 4 vs 1. He did the right thing by outing all of those idiots. He did the classy thing. Incognito is human garbage and I hope he never plays another down.

Oh, they do, with guns.

A little tough love never hurt anyone, but getting bullied to the point of snapping with guns or violence...or being put into a mental hospital? Yeah, likely someone has gone too far.

I think Incognito is just a bit of a pr!ck, likely due to his own issues and insecurities, but even if he convinced himself it was "tough love" and he was doing it for the right reasons...he went too far, and he should have known that.

But as other people have mentioned, this guy's issues go beyond just this Martin thing. He has been a mess for a while--both in the past and recently. Not worth it.

assistant OL coach, Incognito, Jerry, and Pouncey vs Martin. I don't think Martin would stand a chance if he fought back physically. I mean, I get you think bullying rocks and stuff but man it's 2014 and it's really hard to defend Incognito's party here.

Aren't there more options than retaliation? What, exactly, does retaliation accomplish?

Didn't read the report did you? It's very common for people in JM position to do exactly what he did. Try to get on the good side of the person doing the bullying and hoping that by doing that the bullying stops. Only it didn't.

I suggest that anyone who wants to comment on this issue should read the whole report. Not just the Crib notes edition you see in some ESPN blog.
