Last chance for pre-season season predictions

Post by VikingHoard »

As our first game of the season quickly approaches, I thought it might be fun for us to have a thread where everyone brave enough can post their predictions for the season. I'll include our schedule here to make it easier.

1 @Lions
2 @Bears
3 Browns
4 Steelers (Counts as a home game for us but it will be played in London)
5 Bye
6 Panthers
7 @Giants
8 Packers
9 @Cowboys
10 Redskins
11 @Seahawks
12 @Packers
13 Bears
14 @Ravens
15 Eagles
16 @Bengals
17 Lions

I'm predicting an 8-8 season. I'm going with 2 wins against the Lions, 1 against the Bears, 1 against the Cowboys, 1 against the Browns, 1 against the Bengals, And 2 more which could come from any 2 of the Eagles, Seahawks, Redskins, Panthers, or the other Bears game.
This signature predicted the great 2014 - 2025 Vikings dynasty!

The team definitely got better but unlike paul allen I don't think that necessarily gets us a better record, I think 10-6 again sounds about right, give or take a game in either direction.

whoops posted this in the wrong place.

I will make my final prediction before the season with a little more insight than I have posted previously.

@Lions - we typically beat the Lions. W
@Bears - this could be a tough one, AD goes wild 200+ yards W
Browns - home opener, fans are into the game W
Steelers (in London) - traveling across the pond can be tough, don't see it going well L
Bye - gives us a chance to recover after the long flight
Panthers - coming off a loss and a bye week the team gets it together W
@Giants (MNF) - we suck in prime time games, not to mention being on the road L
Packers (SNF) - at home against the Pack is always tough, another prime time game L
@Cowboys - two losses in a row motivates us to destroy the cold handed Romo W
Redskins (TNF) - last time we played the skins on TNF we lost, this time MVPeterson gets the better of RGIII W
@Seahawks - I will be at this game, the Vikes are 4-2 when I'm at the game. W
@Packers - This is a crucial division game. Somehow the team pulls through W
Bears - At this point the bears are out of the playoff race and we're at home W
@Ravens - The super bowl champs have a down year with most of their team having left W
Eagles - Mike Vick has been benched, the Eagles suck. Ponder puts up 300+ yards W
@Bengals - Being on a 7 game win streak is too much for this franchise. L
Lions (Last game in the Dome) - Last game in the Dome, we need a win to get the division title W

Final Record 12-4 with a first round bye, 2nd seed. Could be a great season. I hope this prediction is right. If it is, I'll dig this thread up in December/January. :smilevike: :v):

I am saying that this team will hover around 9-7 - give or take one win.

Hard to say, we could witness a complete #### show all season, or we may be even better than last year and go 10-6 or better.

Here is one prediction I will make that will be spot on: Following every game, there will be at least one new Christian Ponder thread in the following week before the next game.
