Sounds like most everyone will be healthy and on the field today for this practice. There was some concern about NT Letroy Guion's elbow, but he's telling reporters he's planning to be out there in practice.

Was flipping through the channels and it looks like NFL Network is covering Vikings camp today. Not sure how much they'll show but it looks like it's Sharper reporting.

Jeff Locke just unleashed a monster punt. About 65 yards and out of end zone
Blair Walsh just drilled every field goal attempt he had during a FG team drill. Believe it was 4 for 4.
Sherels, J. Robinson and Cordarrelle Patterson among those fielding punts during pre-practice.

So far, Bishop has looked like a guy thrilled to be back on the field. His injury was serious. Working with second team at moment, but that should change soon barring a setback.

Seifert:
Blitz drill/First play: Ponder throws up for grabs in direction of Rudolph. Harrison Smith breaks up. Second play: bullet to Simpson on sideline. Complete. Third: Ponder throws into Jared Allen's hands. Batted down.
Ponder dropped a nice pass into the corner if the end zone. jarius Wright caught for TD in this second round of team drills.
Joe Webb vs. Xavier Rhodes on goal line. Rhodes pushed Webb out of play. Beast.
Jared Allen not getting much headway against Matt Kalil on first try. Nice inside move by Allen for the win on the second.
Sharrif Floyd with two powerful rushes against Seth Olsen.
Xavier Rhodes getting more praise for stoping Wright short of a first down.
Practice ends on Wright beating Rhodes for a TD.

Some from Wobby's feed:
@wobby: Stephen Burton with 3 TDs in final couple periods. Good day for him. #VikingsCamp"
@wobby: Final moments of the last period coming up here. Ponder just hit Simpson deep down right sideline
@wobby: Chris Cook with a diving PBU on a Ponder-to-Thielen try. He's had a nice camp.
Ponder to Wright & Cassel to Ellison for TDs in team red zone drill. Defense held first team three times before Wright TD
Ponder goes 3 for 3 with 1 on 1 reps, hitting Simpson, Jennings and Patterson.
Ponder goes 4 for 4 to begin slot drill, hitting Jennings and Pattersom short then Burton and Simpson deep
Xavier Rhodes with a pick on next play. Didn't see who threw it but wasn't Ponder. Simpson and Patterson each catch another.
Jarius Wright and Marcus Sherels look smooth fielding punts/kicks. And another really strong showing by Jeff Locke

Via Andrew Krammer:
Stephen Burton would probably make the team if 53 chosen today. Has had a great day, just caught a seam route from Cassel for TD in team
There he is again. Burton with a redzone TD grab. Took a shot in the back, holding it as he walked back
Bradley Randle said he couldn't wait for pads. He just lit up Greg McCoy on the sideline. McCoy thought he was just going to walk OB.
Interesting watching Greg Jennings coaching Christian Ponder between snaps. Not afraid to be demonstrative
--Tom P.
1st team base corners are still Cook and Robinson. Rhodes and Sherels in 2nd.
Vikings playing 7th rd pick Travis Bond at right and left guard. 6th rd Jeff Baca played at 2nd team left guard last series
Greg Childs (PUP) is on the sidelines watching receivers vs corners drills.

From the bits and pieces I've seen from NFL Network. I love what Im seeing from Cordarelle Patterson. He is more explosive than I thought. Watching him beat the defender off the line with so much ease. Patterson is going to be something special I can see that now.

He's smooth.

So is Joe Webb.

Rodney Smith is going to be a stud.

Tweets like this make me realize you need to take Wobby's stuff with a big grain of salt. The ball was caught but it was probably 5 yards out of bounds.

I watched that too. At least 5 yards out of bounds. Simpson still runs that route too close to the sideline and doesn't give his QB any room to fade the ball to the outside.

Wobster also said so and so has had a great camp.....isn't this like the 3rd practice?

I'm sensing a lot of production out of Wright this season. We may have gone from rags to riches at WR, depending on how long it takes Cordarelle to adjust.

Part of me wants Stephon Burton to stay but another part of me wants someone like Rodney Smith, Joe Webb, or Greg Childs to step up and take that spot. I think this is the best part about the Vikings training camp. So many competitions going on. I
