i need help finding free info on power of attorney for a friend who has a loved one thats has become .....unable to make there own decisions...basically in a comatos state of mind and will never be awake again...still alive ..is there free forms out there that can be used to get power of attorney so she can get her brothers affairs in order.

Re: please help.
First off, I am not a lawyer.
AFAIK, you cannot do a power of attorney in this case, as the brother would have to sign the paperwork and he is unable. What you're looking for instead is guardianship and you almost certainly need a lawyer to get that setup. A quick google found this document on the state court's website (assuming this is in MN)

Sorry to hear about your friend Keith. As Geoff said, I don't think you can do this. I got PA when my mother got bad and there had to be a lawyer present to make sure she understood what she was signing. Of course that was in Kansas, but I don't think it would be much different there in Minnesota.
