Re: Offseason Thread

The Aaron Rodgers rumors to the Vikings are over!

Tom Pellisaro from NFL Network was on KFAN radio and reported that the Vikings did their due diligence and considered it, but he didn’t think it was likely it would have happened. Also the
Vinings said they have rejected multiple trade offers ...

Re: The Brewing QB1 Controversy

Phil on Purple Daily has been saying since before the season that all Sam has to do is “drive the car” aka game manage our offense for a year. He has not only proved that he can keep a seat in the car warm for JJ but is well on his way to reviving his career and getting a big payday.

I think that ...

Re: Vikings at Packers

Happy with the win and will just comment on one aspect:

How different this game is (and the season is) with Darnold vs. Cousins at QB.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve never really been a Cousins basher. But this is different. KOC seems to COMPLETELY trust Darnold, for good or bad. And I think this is ...

Re: When does McCarthy start?

JJM missed practice today. Knee soreness. Undergoing additional testing. I'd guess exercising a lot of caution.

Sounds like your typical Monday morning soreness. I don’t believe he has had knee surgery so he should be fine in a few days. Those ain’t no skinny Teddy Bridgewater legs on JJ. He ...

Re: Latest on Kirk’s decision to leave Minnesota

I do think Penix competes for that starting job down there. I think odds are at least 50-50 he wins it.

Penix isn't winning any QB job in the NFL. He couldn't beat out the kid built like Barney Fife in Carolina.

Kirk’s status after the injury and without KOC in his ear “calming his mind ...

Re: Justin Jefferson

You’re projecting Diggs type antics on the hardest working, most humble and appreciative future HOF player we’ve had in many years. I’m not seeing any indication that he’s not the same hard working team player we’ve known and loved before this contract. He’s not injury prone and coaches aren’t ...

Hopefully now he doesn't sit out with a hamstring issue for half the season.

Re: Latest on Kirk’s decision to leave Minnesota

I look at the whole thing as one more story line to follow in our most interesting offseason in many years. I’m not hoping for things to go south for Kirk but it is an interesting scenario that will have me following his progress in Atlanta.

Latest on Kirk’s decision to leave Minnesota

The local sports YouTube channels are reporting something interesting about Kirk leaving. Apparently in addition to only offering to guarantee a first year Kirk was informed that by the Vikings that they planned on drafting a QB. Kirk opted to leave and was all set to be the main man making ...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

We agree on a lot of things, but we sure don't agree on this. I don't know if I'd even pick Maye if he fell to 11. Using 3 FRPs to get him??????????

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what any of us think they should or should not do. The only thing we as fans can do is trust the ...

Re: Off-season Prediction Thread

I agree. I have seen a lot of changes over the years, players come and go. Three stadiums, every Vikings player since 1961, and every Vikings playoff game since they started. I am one of those “Win One Before I Die” and have the whole collection of Before I Die empty cans.

What you did see ...

I have noticed that too. I think they’re ignoring my comments. I wouldn’t blame them. I would ignore me too.

My thoughts on the offseason is that there are a lot of needs in multiple position groups. I’m guessing it will be another case of there not being enough draft picks and money for free ...

Re: Off-season Prediction Thread

A) I don't think the Bears would trade Fields to us (divisional thing), unless we overpaid...which we won't.
B) Someone desperate for a QB will give up at least 2 2nds for him.

Can people even see my posts? Is this thing on? This site used to have a lot of great conversations. Now...I feel ...

Re: Who Starts?

Hall starting and some of our fan base are going to ruthlessly criticize his every move. I’ve seen rookies thrust into these situations and it killed their confidence. He does have a reputation for protecting the ball and he can move in the pocket. He’s got a strong arm, is mature and smart. I hope ...

Re: Vikings at Raiders

I would have preferred Harbaugh, but KOC has given us ZERO reason to Move on. KAM on the other hand I would pack his bags for him.

KOC does have some negatives. Just listen to his pressers and how he answers questions and I get the sense he'd make a great politician if the head coaching gig ...
