As someone that used a high 1st round pick on Lacy in fantasy, I can guarantee he wasn't a 'blatant success' last year. He had a solid rookie year, an excellent second year, and a disappointing 3rd year.Jordysghost wrote: No Lacy hasn't been 'up and down'.
He has been nothing less then a blatant success.

Bill Polian gave the Vikings a C+ for the Boone signing. Anyone know the terms, or have a guess as to what they might be? I think the Polian list of grades might be on the players themselves, and not on the specific deal, since he has players graded that have unknown destinations.

Re: State of the Vikings: Cornerbacks
I don't think the stats of a team's #1 WR come close to telling the tale of how Rhodes is playing. He isn't always covering their #1 guy. Offensive coordinators often move their #1 guy around to avoid the other team's #1cb. Almost no CB will have sustained success when they are constantly asked to c...

Re: 2016 Vikings Free Agency Thread (News, Rumors, Transacti
I'm not saying the OL isn't a problem, I know it is. I'm saying there is a cost associated with improving it, and at some point, that cost is not worth it. It's one thing to realize there is a problem. It's another to offer a solution. I don't believe paying 11m/year for a guard is a good solution. ...

Re: Derrick Henry
People are a little jaded on 'Bama RBs. It's tough to tell if their success is because of their surrounding cast, or individual greatness. Mark Ingram is starting to look like a solid RB, but it took a few years. Trent richardson was a bust. Eddy Lacy has been very up and down. Normally I don't thin...

Re: 2016 Vikings Free Agency Thread (News, Rumors, Transacti
I think people are overreacting a bit on the OL issues. It's likely that some patience will be required when dealing with it. There were so many bad OLs in the NFL this year, that there will likely be a run on them in free agency and the draft. Rather than pay above market price on on a free agent O...

Re: Week 17 things
I am of the opinion that playing at GB or at Wsh would be an easier game than home to the Seahawks. NFL coaches never do this, but I wish we'd rest everyone and be fresh for the wild card game.

Re: BPA tested
I don't want it to be a sole focus...but I would like them to do something similar to what Jerry Jones did a coupla drafts ago. I like Sullivan...but the fact is he misses a lot of games due to injuries. This latest back situation is not good at all. I really wouldn't flinch if they took the best c...

Re: Thoughts Week 10
Sendejo really is, by far, the worst defender on this team. He NEVER goes for the ball, lets the receivers make the catch and then tackles them (must say he is a good tackler) but the trade-off is no where near equal. He needs to be replaced yesterday :steamed: It's pretty early to look at the draf...

Re: Thoughts Week 10
More game balls: Rhodes. They barely called his name, because they weren't throwing at him. Pretty much took his guy out of the game. Greenway. Again, didn't have his name called a lot but played a ton of snaps. Bridgewater. Passing stats weren't great, but he looked really good moving around in the...

Re: Vikings @ Raiders Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 10
Teddy certainly hasn't played as well as well as we all thought he would this year, but this certainly isn't the week to knock him. I would expect people that only saw the stats to say that, but if you actually watched the game, which I'm assuming all of you did, you would have seen that he played w...

Re: Week 10 Predictions: Vikings at Raiders
If we're a 3-point dog, that's essentially Vegas saying these teams are even on a neutral field. It's a pick-em game. I agree, but since this game is in Oakland, I think it would be illogical of me to go against the experts in Vegas. I have to pick the Raiders to win because of that, but we have do...

Re: Week 10 Predictions: Vikings at Raiders
Detroit won 11 games last year with Stafford as their starter. Winning and losing is primarily a function of team play , not just QB play. Sometimes a QB plays a huge role in wins, sometimes he doesn't but suggesting Bridgewater "has what it takes to win" and Carr doesn't because there's ...

Re: Week 10 Predictions: Vikings at Raiders
On the one hand, Vegas has us as a 3 point underdog, and the Vegas guys are both impartial and really good at what they do. On the other hand, aren't we 7-1 against the spread this year? I think we've covered in all our wins, as well as the Denver game. If it weren't for the point spread being what ...

Re: Young Theodore Bridgewater
I get that most Vikings fans hate Favre, but come on. We would be thrilled if Teddy turns into half the QB Favre was. He's one of the top 6-7 QBs of all time in my opinion. With the crazy numbers even average QBs are putting up these days, people forget how good Favre was, especially for his time. J...
