Re: Duh!!!

Correct, the big difference was gouging the eagles secondary on the deep/intermediate routes.

I think this is a classic case of fans confusing results and gameplans...we passed effectively so suddenly we must have been trying to pass, when in previous games, obviously we weren't?

They're still learning, Frazier will probably never figure it out though, the point is you don't score 48 points with your running back only

Duh!!!

I guess you have to bench both your runningbacks before you realize that you have to throw to win in this league. When was the last time a Vikings QB threw for 382 yards? The thing is with passing stats like that it would make Peterson even better. How stupid are the Vikings coaching staff?

weird i dont even remember 2003 ( i remember 2000 and 1998) mL8S4G9zFK8 Man I love Paul Allen though.

I was at that game. Mike Tice blew it in my opinion. Here's the scenario...It was 4th and 24 and time was running out. The Cardinals were playing hurry up so the Vikings had to keep there ...

Re: NFL's new overtime is a mess; here's how to fix it

I like the new format much better than the old. The old way was totally unfair to the loser of the coin toss. Besides the Vikings could have won that game if they wanted it, but they chose to try to run out the clock and play for a tie.

Re: How do you play defense anymore?

It won't be long before any kind of defense will be a 15 yard penalty and second and third offenses will be subject to fines and suspensions.

The 33rd team...the Zebras

I used to live for football season. I'd watch any NFL game that was televised and living in Vegas always had my money on somebody. I just don't feel it anymore. All these new rules are ruining this game. I know, I know, we have to protect the players, but the refs are throwing so many flags they ...

Re: Ashamed

I'm convinced that at the end of the game, the coaches just have no idea what to do, either offensively or defensively. The last Vikings drive a field goal would have won it. I hate running on first down but the Vikings do it all the time, yeah I know AP, but it would help if they would throw on ...

Re: Who didn't see this coming?

I don't know if Ponder overachieved, different game-plan, different QB, 1st game with a game-plan like that. It's almost like someone said "this is what you need to do to get the best out of Ponder".
And that's my point. If this is the best we get from Ponder, well, we need a new QB, not Freeman ...

Re: Fumble TD play in Dallas game - no penalty?

After watching this replay a few times, it seems that two personal fouls could have easily been called on the Dallas defense. The third replay is the most informative.

Re: Who didn't see this coming?

All I can say is this game was classic Ponder. Classic. This is Ponder at his finest, making some decent throws, and then blowing it spectacularly. He's not the only reason the Vikings lost today, but he's emblematic of what ails this team. When he's good he's acceptable, but when he's bad he's ...

Re: Who didn't see this coming?

*Can.

Ponder does not lose these games alone. I don't know why that when the entire team is struggling, people just expect Ponder to carry the load. Walsh should've hit the extra point. On that 4th and 5 our coaches could have atleast attempted another field goal. Not to mention that our defense ...
