Re: Teddy, Teddy, Teddy!

Another thing to consider: We are assuming the coaches will bench Keenum. Keenum had a rough game against PIT, and again vs. DET, but has lead us to victory against TB, GB, and most importantly, salvaged that road win on the road in CHI. He obviously doesn't look like Bradford did against NO, but h...

Re: Bradfords knee??

But if you don't play a ticket you can't win. We already knew Bradford was a losing ticket (the reason of him being dumped twice). I knew our backup spot needed upgrading Pre-Teddy-Injury. Spielman didn't. I knew Bradford wasn't worth a 1st round pick. SPielman didn't. Watson was my favorite QB in ...

Re: Case and point

Detroit? The weekly carousal here is painful. There is long term, unchanging reason why he was available as a backup this year.

Re: Bradfords knee??

we better be, truth be told we don't have a starting QB on this roster. Bradford is done friends, he is done. His knee will never be the same. Todays game REQUIRES a Mobile QB unless you are tom brady or peyton manning. High time the Vikings put a year into studying QBs in college and make an intel...

Re: Bradfords knee??

And what's Teddy done? Neither QB has "proven" anything. Either way, I don't really care what Sam Bradford did when he was at the St Louis Rams. Those were horrible teams. I want to see what he can do now. That's what I want to see. Not what his career record is. Since he's been gone from...

Re: Bradfords knee??

First of all, Bradford is far from a "journeyman" QB and when it comes to overall talent as a QB, Sam is hands down the better QB over Teddy. Teddy's intangibles help him out but Bradford's arm, accuracy, release, etc is way better than Teddy's. Thats pretty obvious Yeah, and its translat...

Re: Bradfords knee??

Interesting. I haven't seen much of that, but I didn't see the thread you mentioned. I guess I don't read every thread. If I were to make any excuse for Sam Bradford, it's that he played his first four years for Jeff Fisher. That guy is murder on quarterbacks. Bradford has tremendous arm talent, on...

Re: Bradfords knee??

Well, I thought you did ... you talked about "excuse making" coming from the Bradford camp. My bad, I guess. However, you still haven't answered MY question ... what excuse making? Bradford is injured. He's out until he's not, so I'm a little confused. I haven't seen the excuses, but I ha...

Re: Week 4 reaction thread

I am not that worried. Obviously Cook is crushing but Detroit is good this year and it took a terrible freak accident that directly caused a fumble and lead to 7 points. If that doesn't happen I think we easily get a least a field goal and win 7-10.

Re: The Adrian Peterson self implosion continues

I don't have the patience to dig it up now but about a year ago Mothman and I got into it over AP and I did all the math on his stats. Here are the rough numbers from what I can remember He only started in 70% of the games he was vikings for. He spent nearly 25% of his time with the vikings out for ...

Re: Bradfords knee??

I'm kind of in the Bradford camp, although I'm honestly in the camp of any Vikings quarterback who plays competently and helps the team win. So I'll ask: WHAT excuse making? There really shouldn't be any question about Sam Bradford's toughness. He played last year under tremendous duress and often ...

Re: Week 4: Detroit Lions VS Minnesota Vikings discussion

I just watched the NFLN replay of the Falcons-Lions game. Really surprised at how easily the Falcons ran the ball against Detroit. I know ATL's offensive line is good, and Davonte Freeman is good, but they were gashing the Lions. Also, the pass defense isn't that great. Darius Slay got a pick, but ...

Re: Bradfords knee??

What we saw out of our qb play 2 out of the first 3 weeks is a real NFL caliber passing game. I agree with Nunin, had Teddy (the golden child for some reason who never produced) gotten us in the end zone that field goal would have been irrelevant. What would have Bradford's numbers had been last ye...
