And unless a grassroots groundswell of public uproar doesn't begin fairly soon, start drinking now :steamed:

I'm game to start working on a grass roots effort...anybody else ...

Re: Stadium thread

This doesn't even take into account all of the vikings fans all over the country. I have been a patron of a couple of thriving vikings bars in different cities across this country. Coordinate with these groups, and out of state fans in our various areas.

Who's with me!?

Re: Stadium thread

position ourselves as a group trying to keep the vikings in MN while avoiding a tax hike and I bet a lot of people who would vote against a $20 tax increase would be willing to donate $20.

Re: Stadium thread

Be great to organize events with current and former vikings with proceeds going to keep the vikings in minnesota. Probably all of us involved could get season tickets for life out of the deal too ;)

Re: Stadium thread

I think we should start a fundraising campaign. Not so much a bake sale but matching contributions and an opportunity for local businesses to get a lot of good publicity. If it were organized correctly we could raise a lot of money by giving corporate donors some bang for their buck.

That ...

Re: Stadium thread

So when the state of MN realizes how much tax money they're losing because the Vikings moved away and raise taxes, I'll blame people like you. And when they realize the mistake that they made by letting the vikings go and spend a billion more trying to get another football team here, I'll blame ...

Well, prepare yourself to open up a brand new pair of tube socks!

How people think it makes sense to use tax dollars to pay for sports stadiums (or museums, etc) is beyond me. If Wilf decides to leave or sell because someone else is willing to give him a billion dollar stadium I ...

Re: Stadium thread

Yea, Id say the Wilfs will sell during the off season if something isnt done really soon. As much as I like the Vikings, I agree no public money should be used. I would never complain if they build a stadium partially funded by public money, but if I were able to vote on the matter, Id ...
