Re: ESPN conversation with Zimmer and his eye

Zimmer is amazing.
The GM, owner, offensive coordinator, offensive players...

*sigh*
Let's converse with the head coach's eye. :(

Re: this could get really really ugly

Shurmur has no business running an offense.
He's a proven failure.
Why did he get another try with the Vikings?
Because Spielman is a genius.
Good to know you Zimmer. :wallbang:

Re: After two preseason games (poll)

Preseason. We're talking about preseason!
Still a below average offensive coaching staff, above average defensive coaching staff.
So an average team.

Re: Vikings Rank among NFL 5 Most Underrated WR Corps

I'm skeptical of both. I honestly think their WR corps is overrated , not underrated. That's how I felt. And why I thought Floyd was worth signing. WRs will produce, when they're given enough snaps. Regardless of how talented they actually are. The intermediate air attack was definitely a contribut...

Re: Floyd tests positive for alcohol

But could someone get drunk off kombucha? "No, no," Rothbauer said, laughing. "I don't know if you've tasted kombucha, but it's not something that you drink bottle after bottle. You know, this is something that's fermented. It would be like trying to drink vinegar bottle after bottle...

Re: let's talk about Hunter

Some of Robison’s most important work to date is how he’s aided in the emergence of the young and talented Danielle Hunter, while remaining productive himself. His role hasn’t diminished much, Robison still played more than 80% of the defensive snaps in 2016, but it is different as the team has to ...

Re: let's talk about Hunter

Am I the only one who is a bit skeptical on Hunter?? Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, I just think the hype is getting a bit out of control. So far he's played mostly in passing situations Hype? He should have been getting the majority of snaps since he was drafted. But Robison was the veteran w...

Re: Offensive Optimism: They might be better than you think

In depth analysis, great work. If Shurmur can find some inventive ways to move the ball with all the changes to the offense there will be a high ceiling for this year's squad. Key being O-line play. Shurmur should be the biggest concern. The only time an offense he was coaching had even a top 10 ru...

Re: Reusse: Zimmer's leadership of Vikings deserving of scru

Saddled? Shurmur was his choice. So Zimmer is hiring offensive position coaches? With Spielman having final say overall, and Norv as the offensive coordinator? Zimmer chose to hire Shurmur as tight ends coach early last season? With an eye towards moving him to the offensive coordinator? I think yo...

Re: Vikings decline 5th-year option on Bridgewater

Personally I could care less if the Vikings sign him long term, his stock is only rising further and they will be left holding the bag at seasons end if they make that mistake and all the Teddy-worshipers may get their wish that he will come back and "lead them to the promised land" like ...

Re: Reusse: Zimmer's leadership of Vikings deserving of scru

I think the main point of the column was that the public (in general) formed an immediate opinion that Zimmer "was going to be a well-seasoned wonder as Vikings coach, and it seems to have maintained the pro-Zim stance even after the disastrous turn taken by his team last season." That's ...

Re: Michael Floyd in the 'Cards' for the Vikings?

He's still in the league after five years, so there's that. Hopefully it's also made him see the NFL isn't a forever thing. That can mature some people real fast. He's in the league because we signed him. Is there that?...Oh and he's local. Minnesota teams positively LOVE that. I think he's as good...

Re: let's talk about Hunter

He's been a damn fine DE for most of his career. Ring of Honor maybe. If I'm not mistaken, he's tied for 5th all-time in sacks in Vikings history, third among Vikings' DEs. Nothing to sneeze at. At times I think he was pretty underrated, with more speed and agility than some may have realized. His ...
