Re: Vikings at Packers
It seems to me, that more times than not, when we have a pretty good lead, that they kinda let down/relax and take their foot off the pedal.

Re: Pre Season Game 2
I have not been here for a long time. 2 years ago I gave up on football because I was tired of “picking losers” and deleted everything to do with football, all my links to everything, but googled and found this board again and LOL found my password and user name. So, I just wanted to say that …. “Ma...

Re: Are we screwed with Cousins.
Ok. So to the point of the subject. NO.....the Vikings aren't screwed with Kirk Cousins. To say that would be way too overdramatic. As long as the defense steps up, and plays consistently good for the rest of the year, and they can maintain a balanced offense, the Vikings can penetrate into the pla...

Re: Have the Vikings ever recovered from the Minneapolis Miracle?
I felt it was like they were just still "high" with the feeling of the win in such a manner. Like they just kept thinking about it, never came down to earth, so they didn't put their full concentration on the next game.

Re: Will this Vikings team break our hearts like so many other before them?
I can tell you this. Being blown out or losing by 1 point doesn't matter in the long run. And to me, losing in the Super Bowl is worse than not making it there. In 52 years, I have never heard a fan of another team say, "At least your team made it to 4 Super Bowls.". I've had several peop...

Re: Poll: Your First Vikings Head Coach
LOL, what can I say. My Mom was the sports fan in my family, and she taught me how to understand how football was played. Her brother was a sports fan too. Anyway, at 16 I got addicted.

Re: Poll: Your First Vikings Head Coach
Well buddy I feel for ya and understand. Let me tell u about me and we will make a pact to hang on to see them win the Big one someday. I just turned 54 this past Oct. When I was 25 I was playing in a softball double header. At the end of 2nd game starting feeling real bad. Tightness in chest ,then...

Re: Miami vs. Minnesota...who WINS?
As my user name shows, I am a Vikings fan and a Chargers(Bolts) fan. In my humble opinion, the problem with both teams (for years, now) is they didn't play with HEART. However, the Chargers did just that coming back from way behind to win the game. Talent is great to have, but the players must have ...

Bud Grant here. Born in 64 and was wearing Vikings pjs by time I was walking. I was brought up right. The day that Drew Pearson pushed off on Nate Wright.. the beginning of refs screwing us for me.. on the stupid Hail Mary pass was the 1st time my mom heard her little son drop the F bomb. Thankfull...

Re: Same Ole Vikes
I hear ya. I've been crying myself to sleep since 71 with no end in sight. But your thesis statement is spot on. I can't put my finger on it but I know that the Vikes will let me down 99% of the time when...........the game is on grass, against a solid opponent, at night and on one of the coasts. T...
