The addition of Cousins reminds me an awful lot of when the Bears added Cutler to finally complement their championship-caliber defense. The missing piece!

Then they languished for years complaining about the OL, the coordinators, the WRs etc.
But like Cousins, as good as Cutler could be at times ...

Allen's been playing ok for us.

I just don't think it's really a good strategy to keep trotting out game manager QBs like Ponder and Cassel when the division otherwise has transitioned to playmaker QBs. Freeman fits that mold. Just my two cents.

Ponder's numbers overall were pretty close to Cutler's last year too, but obviously there's no real question who is the much better player between the two. Chad Pennington (Ponders best possible future) once led the league in QB rating... So ...

Allen needlessly ended Lance Louis' season and likely his career with that cheap shot, which had no bearing on the play.

Allen's comments are interesting and he definitely has a point.
