I go back to Fran.
As usual, the guy offers no facts.
Apparently we're supposed to believe every word he says because he is, by far, the greatest Viking to ever live.
If you doubt that, just ask him.

Re: Time For 2012 W/L Predictions
I've been giving this a lot of careful thought. Running the numbers over and over, analyzing the roster, studying the Vikings' opponents carefully, filtering through Leslie Frazier's tendencies (both in-game and pre-game, including meals), factoring in the potentially reduced role of Adrian Peterson...

Bernard Berrian signs a contract Friday and suits up Sunday to catch 17 passes for 255 yards and 4 TDs.
Channeling my inner ThatGuy.

Re: Sherels sticks with Vikings despite size, odds
Y'all remember the game against Kansas City a few years ago when they stuck Randy Moss back there to return a punt? I remember thinking, "What the hell are these idiots doing? You don't put your all-world receiver out there to risk his neck!" Of course, he took the only punt he fielded to ...

Re: Vikings can finish last in the NFC North and be happy
I'm not satisfied with last place either, but I'm afraid it's going to be a long year. As a side note, sorry to have made an "impression" (w/o the MN Nice I think you mean I came off as a jerk/know-it-all). Judging by your response, I think my light tone was lost in the typing. I was simp...

Re: Vikings can finish last in the NFC North and be happy
Funny. Eloquence does not imply elegance or refinement. In fact, it's possible to be down right uncouth yet eloquent. For clarity's sake, I found the OP to be a very clearly conveyed idea; articulate, even if the image of a hairy man's privates is a bit crass. Now, to run w/ the metaphor... not all...

Re: Vikings can finish last in the NFC North and be happy
So the Vikings will be happy because their balls are hairy?
This is a very confusing metaphor, especially given the current trend of men shaving their body hair (I've heard).

Re: Vikings for TO?
why not dead poet? I'm not Dead Poet, but I'll answer with a question of my own. Why? If a potential playoff team actually thought T.O. could contribute (Seattle didn't), then said potential playoff team would sign him. We hardly qualify as a potential playoff team. We were 3-13. We're rebuilding. ...

Re: Which would be better?
Overall my point was 8-8 showing improvement would have meant the Colts never get a ring. And don't get a top 10 all time quarterback for over a decade. Going 3-13 means we got a franchise left tackle. 2-14 and we'd be in even a better position to rebuild. There are times when that top draft pick h...

Re: Impressions from Pre-Season game 2 vs. Buffalo Bills
If any week in preseason matters, it would be next week.
The starters will play extended snaps for the first time. If the Vikings' starters can make a good showing against a decent Charger team, there may be some hope.

Re: Which would be better?
The point is -- even if you concede that it's beneficial to tank games late in a losing season in order to improve draft position (I don't) ... it's freaking AUGUST.

I can't believe we're already talking about whether it would be best to tank games to improve draft position.
Going 3-13 is NEVER good.

Re: Stadium thread
I'm really curious as to how this stadium will end up looking. One stadium that I really love, at least from TV and pictures, is the Seattle Seahawks' stadium. The fans are really close to the field, and it seems to be quite loud. Plus, it's stunning. So glad we can put the gnashing of teeth behind ...
