Re: Vikings/Texans Post-game Thoughts

Watt reminds me a lot of Keith Millard, remember Millard also had that great swim move and that relentless drive to get to the quarterback.

Too bad Adrian didn't get his yards. Oh well, he'll just have to have a 200-yard day next week.

Great win!

That was an amazing game, Chris Doleman just destroyed Montana that day. And the week before they'd destroyed the Saints on the road as well.

I would add the win at Lambeau in '97, Moss' national coming-out party.

Re: Texans are good, JJ Watt is better

Watt (who is awesome because he's a Badger, btw) reminds me of Keith Millard. Remember how relentless Millard was as an interior lineman? He and Doleman were sick on that line back in the late '80s -- it was pick your poison, if the oline doubled one, the other one would get the sack. Like Millard, ...

Re: Shhhhh ... the Vikings are good ... don't tell anybody

Maybe the offense wasn't pretty today, but that's why we also have defense and special teams.

A win is a win is a win is a win.

Re: REF's ??????

1. The Packers got hosed and lost. This result won't change no matter how much they and their fans complain. 2. (Speaking as a Badger fan) Russell Wilson threw the Hail Mary. After the way we lost to Michigan State and Ohio State last year, there's nothing I could want more. It's been a good week so...

Re: Vikes/49ers Post-game thoughts

It's not the same, but after watching Ponder scramble for that touchdown, I couldn't help but remember many many years ago, when Steve Young slithered through the Vikings defense for a touchdown. They must have replayed Young's run a thousand times on ESPN, it was burned into my brain no matter how ...

Re: Stadium thread

The metrodome is the only stadium to host all of the following - Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four (2), World Series (2) and the MLB All-Star Game The Metrodome also hosted an entire NBA season (remember when the Wolves played there in '90 or '91, whenever it was, they set an NBA attendance record). Say ...

Re: Stadium thread

Just saw the news on the Strib website! Woo hoo. I was worried the legislature would once again eff it up and delay again and we'd lose yet ANOTHER sports franchise.

I'll have to make a trip home from Philly for a game whenever this thing is finally built...

Hello, all! I made my first two posts and then just found this thread. I lurk on a couple Vikings message boards and this one seems to be the, er, sanest. I live in Philly, but was born in Minneapolis. I've been a Vikings (and Twins) fan for as long as I can remember. I went to school at Wisconsin (...
