Rick will trade down. Don't get too comfortable at 14.RandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 7:54 pm If Vikings lost, Vikings would have the #13th pick so it is not a big deal so what position should Vikings draft at #14 or who would you like to see Vikings draft at #14?

Re: Cousins signs 2 year extension (Details)
Never say never. Texans traded Hopkins for jack and coke; there are plenty of idiots who will bite. Tell me the last time a team traded for a player with a 40 million contract, I will wait Well, it won't be. It will be $35 million. The $45 million comes from the $35 base salary plus the $10 million...

Re: Once in Nineteen...
If you look at Zimmer's history, He has been to the playoffs 50% of the time. 3 out of 6 seasons as Head Coach. In those appearances he has won a playoff game 2 of 3 times. The time they didn't win, was the Walsh missed 26yd field goal in 2015. So lets just round down for the sake of simplicity. In...

Re: Once in Nineteen...
I can only imagine what it was like back in you and Jim's era when the Vikings were formidable and velociraptors roamed the earth   It was rough! As Raptorman pointed out, if you didn't live in Vikings territory you had to eagerly await halftime highlights and box scores for many games...

See, this is where I think it's important to understand the distinction between Vikings fans of different eras. I'm old enough to have lived through the 70s. Those were my teen years, my formative years. And believe me when I tell you, the Vikings were anything but losers in those days. They were t...

Re: Once in Nineteen...
An example at the coaching level is Mike Zimmer. Yes, Zimmer is an example of this. Why is he an example of this? Because plenty of head coaches have rebuilt teams and gotten them farther in the playoffs faster than Zimmer has (or will, IMHO). What do I base that on? I base it on the relatively sim...

Re: Once in Nineteen...
Yes, the Vikings drafted Ponder and passed on Wilson. Earlier in the century they traded Moss and then used the extra pick they got for Moss to try to replace Moss (which was impossible), passing on Rodgers not once, but TWICE, in that draft. Note - Rodgers is still playing and still playing at a h...

Re: Once in Nineteen...
One suggestion I have is to completely ignore the media both locally and nationally right now. Those clowns are talking about cutting everybody and blowing it up like it would be good for the team. They only think about next year. They are lost in all the follies of amateurish fans, like Free Agenc...

Re: Once in Nineteen...
Actually, yes. Maybe not 9. but 8. Brady is good, don't get me wrong. But he is not the sole reason they went and won. The Pats are a team. And play as a team. Brady is a cog in that team. That is all. Even if he has gone next year, whoever Belichick plugs in at QB will probably still win 11 games....

Re: Once in Nineteen...
If the Vikings had an elite quarterback, they likely wouldn't be sporadic in playing in the postseason. T hink New England would have been to 9 Super Bowls in 19 years without Tom Brady? As for fans being divided, it will always be that way. Sustained success, while awesome, doesn't end discord. It...

Re: Once in Nineteen...
I think at least once would satisfy a majority of the fanbase :D It'd be like hitting that last jump shot during a round of basketball, end on a good note and walk away! It's pretty bad, I've almost gotten to the point that I'm relieved that they lost the other weekend because I don't think this cu...
