Re: Stadium thread

It's pretty clear the governor has taken a stand to get a stadium done. And the republicans have taken a stand to do anything in their power to make sure it doesn't. Including putting it on a referendum they know will fail. And you might not be talking about it on party lines, but there are a coupl...

Re: Stadium thread

People act like the Vikings are the only ones who are going to use the stadium. They use the Metrodome at most 14 days a year. You can't tell me others are not using it. While they don't need the space in the seats that the Vikings do it will be used by others. And oh, yeah, what else are they going...

Re: Stadium thread

Two weeks of summer camp in Mankato. What does it mean to the community? Not much right? Well maybe. “It’s about $5 million dollars of economic impact on this community,” said Anna Thill, president of the Greater Mankato Convention and Visitors Bureau. “There’s a lot of impact all around, and there’...

Re: Stadium thread

I don't see Zygi moving them. But I do see him selling to someone who would. And when they do, MN will be on the list of states begging for a new team from the NFL for the next 15 years. No city that has lost a NFL team in the last 50 years has not tried to get one back, and it always cost more than...

Re: Stadium thread

To my knowledge, every city that has ever lost an NFL team has always later on wished they had done something to keep the team there. Most have been lucky enough to get a new team. Los Angles lost the Rams years ago and they are still trying to get one back. Washington DC hemmed and hawed until Cook...

Re: Stadium thread

They'll make the Wilfs put their cards on the table to see if they really do have a viable option for relocating the team (which I think they don't), and if not, they'll have to either fund more of the cost or eat it and do the Metrodome refurbish. They don't have to relocate them and I don't think...

Re: Stadium thread

As to the stadium being built and the Vikings staying. I will believe it only when they make that first kickoff in the new stadium. Until then, it's all just talk.

Re: Stadium thread

You think any of the stuff all week is going to be in Jersey? Not so much. I wouldn't be surprised at all if media day is in MSG instead of the new Meadowlands. I'm sure it will be. Don't get me wrong, New York is a nice place to visit. I visit my sister every couple of years in NYC. To me, there's...

Been there done that. Nothing to really gush over in my book. Besides, the stadium is in New Jersey not New York. And what is directly around the New stadium? Nothing. Empty land and industrial parks.

Re: Stadium thread

While not a citizen of the State, I understand the idea of not wanting to raise taxes to build a stadium. But at what point do you find a way to do it? Zygi has stated he does not want to move the team from the state. He has not however ruled out selling it to someone who will. I firmly believe that...

Dude, Please stop. Evidence sitting in front of you and you still won't admit. The guy got pushed with force while trying to make a tackle. Let me push you on your back while you're going full speed forcing you to lose your balance and lets see if you can change direction on a dime. On the replay t...

Re: Do you think TheSaints purposely hit Favre with illegal hits

So, am I correct in that, if the roughing the passer is called, the interception is negated and the Vikinigs get the ball back. Or am I remembering the rule wrong? Because had they, that would have made it 1st and 10 at the 19.

Not that AP or someone else wouldn't have fumbled away anyway.
