Re: Jesus……..forum dead?
Very quiet. Here is something. I don't know anything about this guy. And I'll second my own suggestion, start a catch all thread for training camp. (I suppose I could do that)

Re: 3 Observations: Fresh and Familiar Faces on Vikings Defense Make Plays
Maybe a general training camp thread would be the thing. Meanwhile, I'll put this here - ESPN says Justin Jefferson has a strained hamstring. I think strained versus pulled is a distinction they are making. Those hamstrings are stinkers to recover from if the injury is serious enough. This sound ...

Re: 2025 Schedule
Looks like the 4 game stretch after the bye will tell much about this team.
I was looking at the schedule and thought that could easily be 4 straight losses. Very tough stretch - Super Bowl winner, Chargers on the upswing under Harbaugh, Lions we know about, Ravens are always solid with Lamar ...

Re: Draft Day Discussion
Just traded for Sam Howell. https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1916191721383252064
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet
The #Vikings are trading for QB Sam Howell, as the Seahawks and MIN swaps picks 142 and 172.
#139 was UGA Edge Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
Ben Goessling @BenGoessling
The #Vikings are taking Georgia ...

Re: Draft Day Discussion
Maybe everyone but me knows this, but looked up the Vikings remaining draft picks, not much left. A third round, a fifth, and a sixth. So probably drafting a guard may be the highlight of this draft.

Re: Draft Day Discussion
Loveland to the Bears. That's pretty high, plus we don't like seeing him go in the Vikings division.

Re: Draft Day Discussion
I just watched Draft Day for the first time. My Prediction if we stick and pick at 24 we take Colston Loveland. If Loveland is gone we go Harmon. If we trade Back Donovan Jackson.
The few mock drafts I've seen have Loveland going in the teens, but seems like that position is covered pretty well ...

Re: Draft Day Discussion
PS. This is non-Vikings speculation, but here in Denver I think I've heard as much talk about where Sheduer Sanders will be picked as who the Broncos will pick. Consensus for months has been he goes third, then just in the last few days people have started projecting him sliding down to 21, where ...

Re: Draft Day Discussion
Most mock drafts I have seen have them taking a safety or trading back with a couple of them having them drafting a DT.
I personally don't think they will trade out of the first round if they do make a trade. Maybe trade back to 30 with the Bills for a 4th rounder or something like that. I ...

Re: Offseason Thread
Daniel Jones to Indy, as expected by many. We need to get a vet QB now. It's just JJM.
Yikes. Still a few qbs. Here is the list. I wonder about Russell Wilson. Past his peak for sure, but serviceable if there is an injury. Rodgers would only go where he starts, and probably Cousins wouldn't ...

Re: Offseason Thread
Just saw a tweet that said Steelers expected to make an offer to Darnold. I guess that means both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson didn't work out as they'd hoped. Same tweet said still a good chance he signs with Seattle.

Re: Offseason Thread
I'll just throw this out there in the "Ain't never gonna happen" category. Rumor is Aaron Rodgers will be released by the Jets. Likely landing spots seem like Browns, Titans, Raiders, and most certainly not Vikings. That would create quite a clog at that position. In the thread I read this on ...

Re: Kevin O'Connell named 2024 AP NFL Coach of the Year
I bet being able to pick Darnold up off the scrap heap and turning him into a productive qb carried a lot of weight in the voting. I think maybe if I was voting Dan Cambell might have gotten my vote (don't hate me). But not by a lot.

Re: Lions OC Ben Johnson leaving to become Bears head coach
Lions DC now also leaving, for Jets job. That seems less of a problem for the Lions than the OC leaving, the defense has been the weak spot for the team for the last two years. Still, a new DC and OC means new systems being put in place, that always takes time for the players to adjust.
