Re: Vikings @ Seahawks Gameday Discussion Thread -- Week 9

Ponder is the greatest pass interference QB in the league.

Re: Deadline deal was never in Vikings' plans

My point was, we knew a MAJOR need last year was for a WR. Too a point where alot of people thought we might pick Blackmon over Kalil. We got Simpson, a PI specialist, and Carlson, the most overpaid TE in the history of the NFL, doing nothing for us. They havent helped Ponder at all. And our draft ...

Re: Deadline deal was never in Vikings' plans

Last years draft, people were saying the same thing and look we we got. As i said before a bust (based on one year) and a busted (one that experts say is hard for a WR to come back 100% from). Im tired of this nonsense of we cant get a vet. Look what winfield has done for this team. The draft is a ...

Re: Souhan: Peterson's road back has come full circle

Nothing to prove about his recovery from the injury. He's back. But after watching rookie Doug Martin catch the ball out of the backfield, you just have to ask why Peterson has never been a factor as a receiver. His hands aren't the greatest, but that's not the problem. He just doesn't seem to have...

Re: Playcalling????

Those low percentage passes don't seem so great when they aren't connecting, do they? If they're going to keep running those sideline fades to Simpson then, as Mike Mayock said on the broadcast, he needs to maintain more space between himself on the sidelines so the QB has enough room to work. The ...

Re: PFT - Vikings need help at WR

Their WR drafts suck so far. Ones a bust, the other is busted. Spielmans job at risk. If he is stupid enough to spend 38 mil on an injury prone TE, that we DONT even need, why wouldnt he get a vet WR? Not that Ponder could through to Megatron, but a Vet WR like Bowe IS worth spending picks on belie...

Tampa is blasting New Orleans. Maybe the Vikings next couple games aren't as easy as one might have thought.

I think teams are finding ways to scheme against Jared Allen, sucking him inside on the run, chipping him, quick throws, and Robison has been ineffective with that humongous elbow brace.

Re: Vikes/Lions post-game thoughts

I think one interesting item from the past two games that is kind of being ignored is how well the LB corps, and defense as a whole for that matter, has played without Erin Henderson. I don't know if they haven't attacked Brinkley in the Nickel, Alan Williams has schemed around Brinkley, or Erin Hen...

Not sure what you're point is. I don't think anyone is expecting Ponder to be Aaron Rogers (possibly the best QB in the game) right now

Re: Vikings @ Lions Gameday Discussion Thread--Week 4

Robinson already looks better then Cook, and apparently the coaches think so too. A rookie playing Megatron? I think that has less to do with Cook and more to do with the Vikings not moving CB's around. When Calvin Johnson was in the slot Winfield played him, when he was on Cook's side of the field...

Re: Vikings @ Lions Gameday Discussion Thread--Week 4

The Vikings have Tennesee and Washington coming up, which I think are both Winnable games. Then have Arizona, Tampa and Detroit again at home, while traveling to Seattle. This team could realistically be 7-3 at the bye, WOW.

Re: Vikings @ Lions Gameday Discussion Thread--Week 4

The Vikings need to get back to the power running game.

Peterson 7 carries for 52 yards; that number needs to be doubled in the second quarter
