Re: Justin Jefferson

I’m not sitting here arguing the Vikings should’ve outbid the Falcons. I’m saying that it’s poor management that it got to this point to begin with. Should’ve had a substantial pick used on QB in the last 2 years to sit behind Kirk and take the reigns now that Sam Darnold is the best QB on our team...

Re: Justin Jefferson

I’m aware there’s a salary cap. But the weight of the QB position dictates that you may have to sacrifice in other areas. You don’t skimp at QB. Darnold is skimping. You know why this year’s draft is so exciting? Cause it’s all we have. Ah, The Kirk Cousins Effect is in full force. He’s not even a ...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

Isn't a team using it's first pick in the draft taking a swing? But IMO if you are going to take a swing then put your best swing on it. I think that's what Dakota is saying and I agree. In any draft every pick is a swing but we all have to admit the 1st pick is the best swing. We all saw that with...

Re: Justin Jefferson

I messed up the structure of my last post. Not very good with technology. And I’m only 35! It's not really "technology", it's just a tag system. Image links go between an image tag, quotes go between a quote tag, to bold text it goes between the bold tag, etc. It's pretty simple but I cou...

Re: Justin Jefferson

I would have been happy if Cousins’ last Vikings extension was longer, and would have been cheaper at that time. Now IF Kwesi had brought in some real potential simmering behind Cousins for the last 2 years… that would be a different story. You’d have us go 6-11 with Darnold for the sake of saving ...

Re: Justin Jefferson

Kwesi should’ve protected the present AND future simultaneously, but he didn’t. Could’ve had Maye/Penix sitting behind Cousins for a year or 2 and developing in to a dynasty level QB. You'd pay Cousins 180m over 4 years and only start him 1 or 2 years? I would have been happy if Cousins’ last Vikin...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

Cousins is very good. We've got maybe a 20% chance of drafting somebody as good and a 10% chance of getting someone even better. The thing is we couldn't afford him any more. Maybe if we had accepted him offering us two more years at 37.5 Million when it was on the table. Baseless nonsense. 1 caree...

Re: Justin Jefferson

I just looked up the Davonte Adams trade. Adams is 31, was traded 2 years ago for a 1st AND 2nd rd pick at age 29. (I’m drinking and might be off by a few months with my math cause I didn’t feel like looking up his birthday to the month). But Adams drew a 1st and second at age 29. If the Vikings thr...

Re: Justin Jefferson

He'll play this year & hit free agency next year. I suspect we'd try to trade him for some good draft picks instead of have him hit free agency. I saw the Bills traded Stefon Diggs & just had deja vu feeling. Jefferson doesn't seem like a malcontent. He's appears to be a great kid. I would ...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

It seems like a lot of parity for the “top 6” QBs. To move to the top 5 picks, we are looking at both 1rd’ers this year and next year’s 1st. I don’t know how to do a poll, but it feels like most people are saying sit and pick at 11 whether it be Penix, JJM, or Nix. As opposed to selling the farm for...

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OL2r9z1c--U&pp=ygURbWljaGFlbCBwZW5peCBqciA%3D No idea if that is how you post a link. Pretty in depth analysis. So complicated. So cerebral, the QB position. You can understand why it’s the most crucial position in all of sports. Cause ya don’t just have to DO YOUR ...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

I’ve been hooked on the generated mock drafts the past few days where you get to play GM. I just scored…

Odunze (I feel he’ll be the best WR in the draft depending on his QB)

Coop DeJean

Penix

Sweat

Fiske

But… it took trading all our picks this year, AND next year.

Thoughts?

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

but can somebody please explain to me why SUITS who have never played the game are deciding who has potential? It's because analytics can tell you a lot. The best predictor of future performance is past performance, and past performance can be quantified and analyzed to tease out particular strengt...
