When you combine losing a lot of veterans in free agency with key players on your team being done for the year, it's a recipe for a team to fall apart.
That happens to poorly constructed teams
Because every team has starting caliber players as backups. Duh. :|

Re: 2nd Half Schedule Predictions.

The Bores look very fragile on offense right now. I wish we played them at home next Sunday.

Re: Vikings-Packers Game Day

The Fackers were exposed as the pretenders they are. Good luck to them if they want to play at home in the playoffs (outdoor in Winter). Even with having their best ILB back on the field (Martin), they were EXPOSED! By the way...Kenny Clark looked pedestrian...he may be hurt.

Re: The Vikings aren't THAT bad...blow it up or nah?

There really isn't a "blow it up" in the NFL. The owners are the only ones who can risk tanking. There are only a handful of players on each team that aren't playing to stay in the league every year. The same goes for coaches. It would take a pretty sizeable, public effort to "tank&qu...

Re: Fire everyone and start all over please

HC opportunity? Goal of most coordinators is to become a HC of their own team. Just someone I would pick the phone up and call if I am the Vikings and decide to make a HC change. He is someone I like in general in the coordinator ranks right now for a HC job. He has interviewed the past few years f...

I agree. It is on the GM 100%.
I thought Spielman and Brzezinski were "Executive VP" peers? No?
Not sure - they are both in the "Executive Staff".

Re: Fire everyone and start all over please

I see what you are saying, and the devoid was a bit of hyperbole. There is some talent, just not close to being enough. 2021 negative cap space available: Saints Eagles Falcons Steelers Chiefs Rams Texans Vikings Raiders Underlined are 4 teams that have 1 win apiece. This terrible cap management, m...

Re: Fire everyone and start all over please

I still don't think any credible GM would want the Vikes' job right now. MAYBE Paton because he's already on staff. Plus, the owners don't want to pay a GM to sit at home, pay a new GM AND have lower revenue due to empty stands. Regardless of your opinions of fire or keep Spielman, I think the owner...

Do any of you guys know any viable GM candidates? I’m lazy to Google.
And would "good" GM or HC candidates want to inherit this team?
Most "good" ones want to select their own QB.

Re: Fire everyone and start all over please

For those that want to keep Spielman for the job he's done drafting, don't forget he's in charge of the whole thing and doing pretty good at one thing doesn't make up for the rest. He hasn't done a good job signing free agents or making trades.. Who is the best free agent Spielman has brought in? I...

Re: Fire everyone and start all over please

Might as well let the GM/HC/QB go down with the ship. No one worth a darn will want to come here with the QB/o-line situation. If Spiel and Zim are fired (now or season's end), it will not make a difference. The soonest this team will have a winning season again is 2025 - about 2 years after Cousins...

Re: Vikes/Seahawks post-game thoughts

I thought of this game as the "1st regular season game." There are LOT of young guys at important positions that didn't have much offseason and no preseason to get coached up. I'm very much looking forward to the Vikes getting a lot better very soon. Also, we lost to 2 teams that were in c...
