3 and goal... ball is snapped, JJ steps back to pass. He shed a tackle and throws to the corner. JJ comes down with it touchdown!!!

It was smart to make sure the Broncos didn't jump ahead of them. But I sure hope it wasn't a mini bidding war.
I think a fourth and fifth. Not that bad. They still keep the 23rd pick, so good going, getting what they want without paying a steep price. Also I think good that they can let McCarthy sit for a while behind Darnold.

Yup, and #203 (6th) to us per schefter

Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefter
Trade terms: Vikings traded No. 11 overall, a 4th-round pick and a 5th-round pick to the Jets in exchange for No. 10 and pick No. 203.

People ragging on Kwesi for this need to just stop. There was a ton of speculation that the Vikings would trade away 11, 23 and a first next year to take McCarthy at either 4 or 5. To get him at 10 and keep 23? That's good work.

Go ahead. I dare you.

So, who do the Vikings take at 23? CB, OL, Edge?

Yeah, anybody thinking they'd give up 3 1sts to get this guy has to be thrilled.

See above. I'm listening to radio in Denver, they are crushed that Vikings got McCarthy.
I’M crushed the Vikings got Mccarthy. I’ll be mad for a week, then start watching the highlight reels of him throwing 3 passes a game at Michigan when the opposing defense was keying on the dominant run game, then I’ll get mad again. And then maybe a month from now I’ll start drinking the Kool Aid. I’m a glass half full guy at heart, I just need some time. Like it or not, he’s our guy now… so I’m rooting for him! All he does is win, right? ….. right?!

Yes, me too. We honestly didn't give up too much to move up and guarantee Denver didn't get him

They would have traded with Denver if we didn't give them something.
