Re: So Long and Thanks for All the Football
I've been an occasional poster over the years but have always appreciated your takes Jim. They've been well thought out, nuanced, and helped make an interesting board for a predominantly civil and insightful community (which seems rare for the internet in general). I feel like you've been a great contributor to that environment along with many others here.
Your thoughts will definitely be missed, however, even when I am posting (infrequently as it may be) I recognize how much time and energy it takes for those who are regular contributors. It really shows dedication but I also understand the need to step away to focus on other things. Best of luck to you in everything and definitely hope to see you on here from time to time!

Jim,
It's going go be very different without your sound wisdom, eloquence, and acumen on this board.
I've enjoyed and respected your posts the most.
Thank you for your dedication to this board and the Vikings.

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.

Oh, Jim.
Although I do not post frequently, my participation essentially goes back to the Usenet days (with a pause for a time until I merged into the web world). Your name is one that rings back to those day - smart about football (I have learned so much from you) and yet not arrogant, always giving this group a steady center of calm and humor.
Please don't abandon us completely. At least show up now and again to party with us when our team has it successes.
Be well.
Shalom!

Thank you very much for the kind words. I sincerely appreciate them.
I'll miss this place, especially on Sundays, but I will check in from time to time to say hi and talk a little football.

Jim,
Thanks for being an active member and for being thoughtful to me all those years ago when I joined the board.
I don't post here much anymore, but I wanted to post a proper good-bye.
I appreciate your insights, generosity, and willingness to engage with members.
You'll be missed.

Jim - Sorry to hear the news. I've been much more of a "lurker" as of late, but I will miss your thoughtful posts and insights. Best wishes in your professional endeavors (you deserve it) and I'll enjoy the occasions you drop in to say "Hi"

Good luck Jim. I've learned a lot from you and not just about football.
I hope you have some other outlet to express your Vikings issues whether it be friends or relatives. For me, VMB is therapeutic.
