Vikings message Board becomes an assignment?

We had a dicussion board assignment for sociology class on what group or sub culture
are you a part of and what do you get out of it.
Well the Vikings fan aspect or sub culture is something I am a part of and
is my topic of choice.

smart move by you, a sports fan. one of my degrees was also in sociology and while sports are very entertaining, they are much more than that. i probably wrote 5-10 papers over the years that were sports related. in fact, my thesis was basically about how sports can be used as a healing mechanism; both playing as well as watching.
